Chardok Raid InformationFollow

My wife needs to go to Chardok and kill the King for her Epic 1.0. Now I have read that a pet class can pull/target through a door without picking the lock. Is this true or a bunch of hooey? I was under the impression that you needed a rouge with 200+ lockpicking skill to go along with the raid.

Perchance you use the search feature you might find quite a few threads from the spring covering this topic.
Sorry I am not that good on making links. You can also search the quest info for the epic. Lots of write ups include pulling info.

I wont say 100% that it cant be done but im 99% sure that you cant loocked door is well away from king and I dont see away for you to get him targeted for pet to attack.

Then you have to deal with fact of the 30 to 40 adds that will probaly come even if you manage to do it. Add to that that king has a nasty habit of gateing sometimes and I would say sense you had ability to clear to locked door in first place your just allot better off finding a rogue to open door.

The two fastest ways to kill king are to one have a non Kos Rogue and Mage go down to hall before king and then have mage CoH raid down to hall while people being CoHed are invis. Then have people that were CoHed in kill mobs in hallway (Snare everything there must not be any runners!) then have someone pull king out of his room useing whatever tricks you have to avoid the 8 mobs in room with him.

The other fast way is to have a non kos rogue agro king and drag him to zonein never seen this done but I know several rogues who claim they have.

Pet pulling can or used to be able to be done by having a Non Kos Necro having the pet gaurd right in front of the King then walk back to the pull spot while keeping the mob targeted and FD. Having the pet attack then back off and run to you. Pet needs to be sowed and fully buffed to survie the first wave of attack. The pet makes its escape during the casting time of the AE and the King follows the pet to you.

While I've not pulled King from the locked door, any pet class can pull from a locked door with some extra effort.

Mages can stand up to a door, facing the door, cast eye of zomm (or the upgrade version) and the eye will spawn on the other side of the door.

There is a tinkered item with clicky eye of zomm - low trivial, for classes that can't cast it.

Though, King may still be too far away for this method (I'm not sure), so you may want to look into finding a clicky bind sight and keep binding sight up until you can target king.

I'm stopping short of saying any pet class can pull king, since king may be too far away for pet to attack when told to do so. One possible work-around for this, with the bind sight method, with each progressive target, send pet in to attack; before it engages, command it to guard that location - repeat. If you find yourself in a situation where you can command the pet to attack, but it does not respond to "back off" (too far away to command), summon the pet. There is a belt that drops in Veksar in church/priest area with unlimited clicky summon companion; though, I've only ever seen one drop from countless hours of farming.

I have successfully pulled the king from the locked door to the entrance of the zone - so yeah it is possible - first thing you do is summon a lvl 54 pet or so that wont get adds - then you give the pet a shrew spell if you have it - then a few buffs. Then do /pet attack Overking Bathezid

Your pet will not be able to run that far from behind the door so do /pet back off. Then you need to take a guess as to what mob is in the library that is close to the king - things you can try are /pet attack a dizok researcher ... /pet attack a di`zok - and so on.... once you find a mob in the library that your pet runs through the door and runs after wait a few seconds then use /pet hold and quickly scroll back up to your /pet attack Overking Bathezid and use that before your pet gets back to you

With a little practice you will have your pet charging the king and as soon as your pet's health goes down use /pet hold and just wait till the king gets back to you

Word of warning though I believe the King likes to gate back to his spot so be careful with that - also the same can be done with the Prince but I dont think the Queen - also is a great way to camp the Loremaster who drops anklesmasher and the Grand Lorekeeper who drops the voice graft item - from behind the door you use /pet attack an apprentice lorekeeper (this is the placeholder for the named) and the pet wont reach the mob so like you did with the king you will need another mob to attack and then hold to get your pet to reach the other ones.

Good Luck
