Newbie Armor-After You Are DoneFollow

#1 Mar 03 2004 at 7:11 AM Rating: Decent
Well, I have one more piece to do on the Palladin Newbie Armor.

After I get it, do I go back and tell him I am all done or is that it?

Should get something for dragging those bricks around.

Which paladin armor? there is some in freeport and some in felwithe. if you did the felwithe defenders armor, you probably killed enough of the stupid giant sylvan bats and wasp warriors that you are near lvl 10+. now go to CB with you new armor and level up. if you did the freeport one, im pretty sure nothing in it is NODROP, because i bought most of the ingredients :)

basically, after you finish, just fight stuff, group with people, level up, get money for better armor(its not the best armor in the world, you know), and most of all, HAVE FUN!!!!!!!

You can ask your guildmaster for the "final task" (or however it is phrased in your city)- which will usually be about your magical (but mostly lame) newbie weapon - every time - no need to finish all your armor pieces before doing so :))

aye, that would be next thing, but it not really worth it.. at the time i think i had a Zraxthril Forged Mace and it put my quest weapon Felwithe defenders falchion) to shame. it simple. save up around 50pp and get something better. 50pp isnt much.

The final task for the Freeport paladin quest involves killing a bunch of guards for a sword that really isn't worth the effort. If you're a freeport paladin save yourself the time and faction and simply skip this quest. Many of the 10-50pp items selling of vendors in POK are much better than the quest sword.

Once you level to the early to mid teens take a look at the "Test of Truth" and "Marr's Ring/Marr's Ring of Piety" quest. You will need the testimony later on for your epic item, so if you like questing you can easily do this minor quest and store it in the bank. The Marr's Ring quest is interesting, but the ring itself isn't that great (the +5 wisdom comes in handy for tradeskills). Killing the named mummy Arthikus to get the last component is a blast.

I have dwf pally and frog pally, so dont know which race pally you are but the final task after completing armor is usually a low level weapon. Would agree taht with the bazzar it is easy to buy a better weapon. The newbie armor is really an improvement over the old days when you just dreamed about magic armor with stats.

After you finish the armor quests, you should be good for quite some time with armor (always keep a look out for upgrades though). One easy (though time consuming) quest to improve your armor is the gem encrusted gloves you can get from the dwarf in BB - you need to run S. Karana for the 4 scrolls and then to Queynos and Freeport to bind the book, but many players camping Splitpaw sell the scrolls at the Centaur village (or Aviaks) and there is no level requirements. Use the links at left to find the quest by zone and the actual steps.

Thanks and I did forget to say what I was. I am Human Palladin, Level 10.

Have another question and need help so will post separately. Not the gameplay, the hot keys.
