Can someone tell me about the Tribute system.

Is there a Tribute Master? in every city.

Can you turn in mundane items or is it only magic items.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Tribute masters are in the starting cities

yes you can give items you loot from mobs, but if they do not have a trader purchase value of at least 1pp, then you will get no tribute points for them.

Overall, the tributes are a good idea, but boy they do get way to expensive..

1 tribute point is equivalent to 1 pp.

for low level characters, you can increase mana, hps, str, wis, cha, dex, agi, con, regen, mana recovery, etc etc etc... same as with high level characters, just not as high in each. These can cost around 1 point every 10 minutes, and since you could have 5 up and running, at level 10, that would be costing you about 6pp per hour.. At high levels, where you could max out everying, you are talking about a 100+ tribute point every 10 minutes.. for example just getting flowing thought 5 equivalent is 37 points every 10 minutes, or 222 points and hour.. convert to pp, 222 stinking platinum per HOUR to run around with an extra 5pt mana regen per tick. That is way expensive..

I am using tributes on all my characters, but my main, 62 cleric, I still run at minimum, just because I can't seem to pull in 222 platinum an hour just to cover the cost of a 5 flowing thought...

Something needs to be done to pull the buffs in line or no one will really every use them and come to rely on them.

Cheaper to pay for an actual spell buff....

It's only expensive if you pay in plat.

Example: Architect's Bejeweled BP. Sells (on Rathe anyway) for 6-10k Plat. Worth 24K tribute points. Picked up one during a price war in the bazaar for 4.2K and turned it in, so got nearly a 6:1 ratio for it.

I also Run around city of mist with my Mid 50's characters when my points start getting low and kill the named mobs. Ornate Runed Shield, usually get at least one, worth 1400 points. Iron Mask of the wise, pick up 2 and sell them for 3k each, buy another architect BP and get 24k more points :)

Don't buy points with plats, it's not worth it.

This is a link to a 'how to' on the Trubute system for those a little unsure on how it works. It helped me a great deal.
