I have been reading this as well as some sketchy discussions on the class forums. I am confused. 
Has this begun already? Are some tomes available and skills usable at this point? Has anyone heard any rumors about when the whole thing will go live? Any help is appreciated.

There are already a few implemented in game. Mostly the ones dealing with taunt and disciplines. The "openings" system I haven't seen in use yet, but Im speaking from the warrior's point of view. IM not really sure what the rogues have at thier disposal atm. Anyways I hope this helps.

At this point the melee enhancements using the openings has not been implemented yet, and I have not heard of any of these tomes being available yet, nor have I seen any tomes drop from mobs yet. It was my understanding that the openings system was supposed to go live with GoD, but apparently they are still fine-tuning it, so it was postponed yet again. Tomes that replace the previous discipline system, as well as tomes for a number of new, non-opening based abilities are available for purchase in the Library and in the EC tunnel.
UPDATE:
Last night I was able to find 3 tomes for my level 31 Warrior: Provoke, Resistant Discipline and Focused Will Discipline. I handed them to the warrior GM and now have those 3 combat abilities. Beorbin (sp?) and the NOC with the last name Swordbreaker had them in the PoK library. There were a LOT more for higher lvl warriors, so check it out if you have not done so already. The complete list of what is/will be available is here.
I am assuming at this point that these are the only 3 that are available for my level, although I did see an Ogre head bash someone. That may be a race-based skill...I don't know.
Anyway, does anyone know if there are any tomes available for levels 1-30, other than the 3 I was able to find?

I believe the one availible in PoK and EC are the only ones availible for now, i aslo hear that they have scrapped the oppotuity based system since it didn't adress the problems that pure melee's where complaining about. I could be wrong however.
Are the ones in EC the same as the ones available in PoK, or are there different tomes available? Thanks!
They removed the opening system even from Test server; doing some sort of revamp of it before it is put back on to Test. They said the opening system probably won't exist when they are done.
It's the same ones in PoK and EC but i find that EC is easier to use but that may just be me. in EC all the Tome merches for all classes are in one place and have all tomes on them.
