GoD from EB...Follow

#1 Feb 10 2004 at 12:55 AM Rating: Decent
This is the first time I have ever preordered anything from EB, but shouldn't I have recieved my expansion by now? I mean. If I actually need to WAIT after the expansion has been made live, what was the point of me preordering. i could have gone to my local game stonre and bought it.

The key advantage to pre-ordering is GETTING the game before it sells out in all places, to get whatever special incentive comes with the preorder, or if you want to be sure of a copy and don't care if you get it a day late or so.

Pre-Ordering online nine out of ten times means you will get the game a day or two later then those who snag store copies.

EB is pretty good about getting games to you on time. I ordered LOY and it was on my door step for opening day (they sent it Fed-X extreme shipping). I checked my tracking number and GoD is enroute to my house as we speak. I preordered the last two UO expansions and got them ontime as well.

they ship the day before release. you only really benefit if you purchase next day air. mine is most likely in the mail box right now. an extra $9 is worth me not having to drive to the store and take the chance its sold out, etc.

Mine will be delivered in about 3 hours. That should give it plenty of time to gather some dust before I get home.

Or just preorder the expansion and download it.....

I already have the expansion, logged in to the patch server this morning.. and with fingers crossed when I get home from work hopefully can log right into the game....

An in game magic item "whopeee" and a collectible miniature "collectible for who?" just don't cut me having to pay extra in either Sales Tax or shipping...

While it might be nice to have the disks, since LOY I have just been downloading the expansions.... no need to worry about not getting the expansion on opening day due to late delivery or all being sold out at the stores....

Ok, I ordered it and it says its shipped, but when I track it thru federal express it says it is not in their system. = ( so I will probably not get it today. *cries a lil tear* In the mean time I will continue sitting by my window, hoping for a miracle , and watching for that federal express van. LOL BTW I happen to like my keychain I got last time. Cant wait to get the staff. =)

I preordered GoD from EBGames.com, and just like LoY, it just showed up on my doorstep almost 30 mins before servers are "suppose" to come back up.

I buy alot of the stuff I need from EBGames, and they pretty much always use Fed EX which I have yet to have a problem with dilvery. I have been 110% statisfied with EBGames for about 2 years now.

Now Amazon and UPS... They can go die :x

Purchased via the link from Alla's and just found out now that it's not arriving until tomorrow. I have always purchased from EBWorld and have recieved it on the day the other expansions went live. Last time I purchase an expansion via an Alla's link. Grrrrr.

Fortunately, I live near a brick & mortar EB store, and that's where I had pre-ordered my copy of GoD...although it came at 1:00pm PST, it didn't take me long to install it, patch it, then try out the new stuff, from the leadership exp to the berserker.
