I finished equipping my new enchanter toon for 1k yesterday with some incredible deals and have about 2k left.

What caster-benefiting items I should try to find for that price? Or is there some real killer stuff that's worth saving up to 3 or 4k? Best pieces so far I've got are Fine Antique Ring and Fine Cut Diamond Inlaid Mask. Some complementary Focus Effects would be nice of course :)

Currently my gal is only lvl 14 and will not advance very fast so a lot of fancy items make no use now for her at the moment....

I hope you quested those instead of buying them. Both are easy for low levels. The mask should be done before 10 though.

One thing that will benefit you as soon as you can afford it is an Earing of the Solstice. You can buy kits of parts or tradeskill some of the parts yourself. You don't have to pay the 6k asking price for the completed ring.

Spell haste is a good thing for an enchanter and if you are planning to stay sub-20 for a while then a Bracelet of Woven Grass will be useful.

Mana preservation is another biggie. Here is a list of items with it. Or Here with the next level up (good to 44).

Not really clued up on enchanter gear in that price bracket. My wife just started an enchanter but it was on a tad higher budget.

What I do know is that things like this robe sell for peanuts on FV.

Since I haven't got the POP expansion you'll excuse me for buying the mask and the ring ;)

The Robe is ok, seems I missed it at the Bazaar till now but will keep an eye open =)

That Earring of the Solstice really rocks but starting the Quest in the Echo Caverns? Thought these where level 35+??

Ah. Without PoP you would have to buy them. If you intend staying in EQ PoP would be a good idea. I did wonder when you mentioned a 15 minute wait for a spire in another post.

The earing quest in FG is purely a hand-in to an NPC in the town part. True you must travel through Echo but nothing in there on the way to FG sees invis. Avoid the wavy armed things in the ceiling as they will kill you if you get too close. It would probably be scary but certainly doable. You only pass one set of mobs (boglings) and have to watch out for a stray needlite. Avoid those and the wormspores are your only real danger. Of course I have no idea of your race or if that would give you issues with the guards. They seem pretty neutral unless you start killing them (not something I go in for). There are quite a few spell vendors in Echo so it is by no means a dangerous place all over.

OK, perhaps I am the only one who saw this, but both of those items are NO Drop. I think I'll have to call BS on this post.

Just curious - what's the difference between FV and other servers regarding "no drop" items? Are these not tradeable at the bazaar?
