well, i'm all moved to the last frontier now... can anyone tell me how many hours of eq time i can get with my stupid 10gig upload limit? yes, i have a 10 gig upload limit with dsl... but it is a relief that i can get dsl at all... and how hard is it really to play eq with dial-up? this is stuff i normally ask my husband, but he's not around... thanks in advance for input :)

I play just fine on a 56k dial-up.

In 5 hours and 45 minutes, I have received 9,759,000 bytes of information. I pretty much logged on and started playing EQ, with one check on Lucy while I was playing, so that should be near accurate minus whatever bandwidth I consumed off this site.

Sent 4.04 million as well for what it's worth but I posted something before this so that may be more off

A 10 gig upload limit should be fine unless you are serving a large graphics intensive site of indelicate nature on the side at the same time...

10 Gigabytes will get you through about 2000 eight hour sessions. So, unless you are a powergamer of the time-bending variety, you should be okay.

Isn't it 10 Gig upload per month?

In which case there simply isn't enough hours in a month for EQ to reach your limit. The transmit back from you to the EQ server is a tiny tiny amount.

hehe... if i were running such a site on the side, i'd be making so much money off the advertisers that i wouldn't care how much it cost to go over my 10 gig limit...
