Runes 'n' PagesFollow

I've always been something of a pack rat and this habit seems to have carried over in game. I've a few packs full of various trade skill drops in my vault waiting to be switched over to a mule character. The thing which concerns me though is all the runes and pages I've squirreled away... I've herad some pages are very rare and have noticed some in the bazaar selling for a few 100p (not that this verifies anything, lol.)

What I'm here for is to ask if anyone knows (or has a link to a good resource) what is worth what. Some researched spells are very costly, although I must admit general ingnorance of the researching skill in general. I've skimmed over eqtraders and found nothing of the value of individual words and I would hate to look up every rune I have on Alla's item lookup. I would like to start actually researching soon but I would hate to blow a component worth cold hard plat as I've recently rediscovered EQ and am pinching my pennies. Any help would be appreciated.

About the only thing I can think of is to write down everything you have then go to the bazaar and research every item for competitive prices. Also research what each one is for. It is time consuming but a bit of effort may pay off big if you do indeed have that rare sought after item just laying around.

What level are you? Words for, say, Cornicopia are worth considerably less than the words needed for Funeral Pyre. But you don't find the latter in Highkeep, either.

I think the lowest level zones you'll see words/runes for advanced research drop in are Sebilis, Skyfire Mts, etc. If you're hunting below that level, it's doubtful your components will be worth a fortune. Even above that, the best you can do is try to comparison shop; many Yaeth pages sell for only a couple plat but some are sought after and sell for quite a bit more.

Finally, check and see what some of the "major" spells are and what makes them. Components for KEI, Blessing of Aegolism, Funeral Pyre, etc will sell for more than less useful spells.

From what I understand, there's tailoring now that uses research components to make some pretty snazzy robes. I'm not sure how that's changed the component market since now those Words of Sight may be coveted for something more than researching Summon: Coldstone.

Another thought is to just place all your words, runes and pages on a trade mule at 500pp each, and then just lower the prices daily untill you get down to 5pp or so and sell what is left to a vendor, i recently did that, and made about 3k on research items that i hadn't a clue as to what they were for.
