I'm not sure how easy it would be, but Hill Giants in Rathe mountains CAN drop up to 50 plat each (though they can also be very stingy and just drop a couple gold). Might take a group at your level, unless your bard is very good at kiting, and there aren't nearly enough giants to go around...the spot is always highly camped, but if you're careful and lucky you could make some good plat this way (and exp to at that level).
Less risky is farming hides and spider/spiderling silks and selling them in the bazaar....the Karanas are good zones for this. On my server, silks tend to sell for 5 or 6 plat each, and usually sell very fast...sometimes within minutes of me setting up in trader. Yes, farming is boring as heck, but it's a fairly safe and reliable way of making money.

Step 2: Sell the loot

3-4 places you could go, Could farm runnyeye and kill the moldmaster (drops a 2% haste item) which for some reason sells for 2k on my server. You could kill halfling guards, with a bard or chanter this should be semi-easy. You could do LDoN (easily make 40-50pp here in a adv).Or you could do HHK guards who usually drop 1-8pp and drop 1-2 finesteel weapons. These are places I use a *LOT*.

My advise

Kill RV guards the loot is worth about 10pp and they always drop it

to rebuild faction do this quest https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=657 its just handing in bandages

also when killing ONLY kill the guards on the big wall not the RV entrence they are much higher levels

Another Goto everfrost hunt mamoths for there tusks each tusk can sell for 10 pp each and they will sometimes drop 2 at a time

it will be easier if you have someone tracking them though

also tusks require a Giant Slot and weigh 10 pound each so get some str buffs and take bags that hold giant items
Things like the newbie armour quest boxes will hold 8 giant items so grab them

Killing HHK guards is good pp but watch out for that faction (i dont kill them becouse i hunt the gobbos in HHK atm)

maybe HGs in a group but that will be tough

also farming spiderling silks in the ogre newbie zone i started a ogre for fun and discoverd this place famed over 120 silks in 2 hours with a lvl 6 war which i sell for 15pp each

good luck and happy hunting

take your 36 Bard to EK , go to the hill next to the ent to HHk, on this hill you will find Crag Spiders. Kill them loot the spider silk they drop, combine 2 them in a sewing kit <trivial 21 no fail combine> to make Silk swatches.

when you have a 10 slot bag full of silk swatches <Takes my pally 4-6 hours depending on how the drops are going> go to bazaar and set up a trader, sell the swatches at 10pp per swatch and by the next morning your will have 2k.

Merry xmas , happy new year, please let us have no more Threads on making PP.

yours heartily Bored with pp threads....

Well, I started out with no money and I joined a guild and my guild master actually gave me 10k so i could buy so armor and everything just to get me started. Now, that I am a much higher level and I have a lot more money I even make small loans to friends and they pay me back when they can. I payed back my guild master. It has actually became a really nice system. I always get paid back and I DO NOT charge intrest. And i make new friends.
It is kinda a if I help you out they will help me if I ever need it

Don't we all?

I found this pretty thorough money guide on the Paladins of Norrath boards, translate into Enchanter style if you need to, but it is pretty general.

Quote:

Making Platinum

Bazaar trades -buy low, sell high
Farm iron oxides in Najena, or The Hole and camp the ground spawns
Pick a specific expensive item, and camp it, such as FBSS (frenzied ghoul)
Get a lucky roll on an expensive item (e.g. t-staff, in Karnor's castle, sells for 15-20k+ server)
Merchant Diving - some folks make money digging through merchant inventories for items that are often sold to merchants, but can be resold in the bazaar for a big profit, for example, pelts and spider/spiderlings silks
Gem farming - with a high enough level character, of the right class, you can farm in zones where gems (diamonds, rubies, ruby crowns, etc) drop. These can be sold to merchants for big cash, and to other players in some cases.

Note: From various forum posts and stuff

Zone Specific Information

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

High Hold Keep
Farm High Hold Keep guards for plat and fine steel weapons. You can still sell them to a vendor there even while kos

Crystal Caverns
Geonid Tunnel (near zone). Farm the geonids for gems - work your way up and down the tunnel.

Rathe Mountains
Giants in Rathe Mountain

Solusek A
Sol A farming the goblins for plat and fine steel weapons

Great Divide
Dorfs miners in Great Divide - farm them for the coldain heads and sell the heads to people who want kael faction, 50-100pp a head, 30-35 heads an hour
Geonid tunnel in Crystal Caverns

Various Zones
Farm components that trade skill masters need.
Example: Leather Padding, spiderling silks, etc. Sell in bazaar.

Thurgadin Mines
Another nice under camped spot for a 35 to 40 player is the mines in Thurgadin. Great XP and Crystalline silks from Crystal spiders sell for 5 to 10 plat each. Coldain Heads from Lesser Tar Goos sell for 100 plat.

Lower Guk
Still pretty good pp drops, FS and that phosphorescent powder plus the occasional drop

Beholder’s Gorge
Farm random crap

Ocean of Tears
Soloing Seafuries and the Corrupted Seafurie Cyclops. Corrupted gives great experience and the regular Cyclops give fair experience to 54 (along with gems and pp).

The Hole
Elementals in the hole and elder pandas in sbm drop gems worth up to 100pp and can be killed with no downtime
If you camp the jail area, just past drop off it's practically a gold mine. IGS sell for an easy 7kpp still and if you get lucky Slizzik the Mighty (named ratman) will spawn and drop an idol of the Underking improved healing 3 range item (worth 215-40k depending on server)

Tenebrous Mountains
Drops – essence of wind and acrylia ore
2 grimling caves there. Though less acrylia drops there compared to the Grimling caves the windstones sell in bazaar for up to 100pp and the stray gems that drop (and drop often) sell 20-95pp). Skyshadow (rare named bat) drops a great wis/dex cloak (dru/mnk/bst/shm/clr) that sells in the 5k area also. Rare spawn but only 3500ish hps.

Finally, in Tenebrous, the grimling runner drops the pouch used to start the Rallic Pack quest. Once you get the pouch (runner is on 90 minute spawn) the rest of the quest is terribly easy. The pack itself is nice (10 slot, holds giant items, 85% weight reduce) and sells to players for 1000-1500pp. Pack is droppable but the runner pouch is ND.

A few days there and you are set. All the mobs are soloable and should be light blue to dark blue so gaining EXP is a cinch if you are careful to control aggro.

Warsilik Woods (Grachnist camp)
Rings and earrings

Ocean of Tears/Southern Ro
AC camp for ring and jboots multi-quest (camping the AC for selling the mq is ranger-ghey)

Grimling Forest
The caves - kill the miners. They drop acrylia pieces/brick/blocks. In the bazaar pieces sell for 20-25pp, bricks 40pp (small) 60pp (large) and blocks for 80pp. The runes they drop every time (and stack) can sell up to 5pp to vendor. The rest of the mobs in the caves have a slim chance to drop acrylia (though they almost always drop runes) but the miners drop acrylia (or multiples pieces) about 60% of the time.
There is a vendor, banker and port location in the zone

Paineel
I killed 1600 Kobolds in the warrens and then did tooth turn-ins in Paineel to get to amiable. Then you can ask the guard in the newbie area for a key to the Paineel elevator. With the Paineel guards I can make 800pp an hour, when I really want to do it. Average of about 600-700, takes a lot of factioning work as a paladin, though.

Once you are amiable, ask the skeleton guard to give you the key of the city, then enter the city and kill all the guards. No faction hit - NOTE: This has been patched and there are now faction hits for killing the Skele guards in Paineel - and they give FS Sword and Shield every time. Since there are no faction hits, you can bank / sell here and continue the slaughter.

Everfrost (Permafrost Entrance)
Three Ice Giants spawn inside the entrance area of Permafrost.
There is also a vendor near to sell stuff to.

Ocean of Tears
Soloing Seafuries and the Corrupted Seafurie Cyclops. Corrupted gives great experience and the regular Cyclops give fair experience to 54 (along with gems and pp).

They also drop "Mugs of Seafoam" which can be sold to players for 10pp each. Doesnt sound like much, but after a few days of being there I had 3 stacks of these and made 600pp off of them. They are used in Human Culture Armor I believe.

I know you're a bard and probably very faction consciouse (sp?), but my necro killed the 2 druids at the west commons druid portal for a ton of cash. I know there are 3 there, but one is indifferent and won't add, and you can sell to her after kill the other two. I would fear split to break them. Some are druids, some rangers. They generally drop 1-3 (yes, 3) FS weaps, low lvl gems, chain and leather armor, bows, arrows... And since you can sell right there, it's really easy. I made just as much cash there as in Rathe b/c they respawn on 2 min or so timer and are almost NEVER camped due to the faction. The exp is awesome up to lvl 35 too. GL.
