The map is is erroneously marked, the Yellow area to the west, marked as Hive Regal is actually Hive Zora. The real Hive Regal is to the east.

Just an FYI for those trying to find Hive Zora.

This is as good a zone as any to "grind-quest" in. The quests practically hand you grinding material all the way through the zone. Frankly, I first went there at 55 and got my #@$ kicked a few times. Came back at 58, better, 60 Much Much better. Still challenging but Heavy Scorpid Scale (LW 309/Skin 345 to date 13/3/08) Glowing Scorpid Blood (Darkmoon Faire) Elementals with Elemental Earth, Gemstones, Breath of Wind, etc.
When they do drop something, its always a good seller (imho).

Love Silithus, great area!!

Go to Outlands at 59, once you hit 60 there are a bunch of quests to qualify for, get in a group, and Ride, Ride Ride!

I've gone to Silithis twice now and, each time, 2 icons appear:"Alliance Silithysts Collected X/200" and "Horde Silithyst Collected X/200". What is this all about? Can anyone inform me?

The Silithyst collection quest is a nice little PvP event, a good way to (1) get a buff (2) raise Cenarion Circle reputation and (c) gain some Honor. Scattered through the zone there are "Silithyst Geysers," Open one and your chara's toon will be surrounded by a dust cloud, reducing movement speed. Take this cloud back to the extractor located in your team's outpost (near Hive'Zora for Alliance, near Hive'Regal for Horde; marked pretty obviously on your map) and stand in the extractor for a second. The number for your team will be incremented (it's reset during the routine maintenance and I've never seen all 200 claimed) and you get honor, rep, and a melee/ranged/spell bonus for half an hour.

As soon as you open the geyser, though, you're flagged for PvP, so watch out. Riding a mount will clear the dust but Aspect of the Cheetah will not. Have fun!

This zone is great for level 55+, though I would wait until level 57 or 58. You can kill deserter rumblers to the northwest corner for elemental earths which sell for 1-2g each on the ah and has about a 5-7% drop rate.

You can kill twilight avengers and overlords/geomancers in the two camps for twilight texts and cultists armor. There's twilights run in the northeast corner or the camp in the southwest corner outside of the Ahn'Qiraj zone in. The texts can sell for 75silver-2.5g and the cultist armor I usually sell for a gold-1.5gold.

There's also elite bugs you could kill for loot and drops. They are level 59-60 and hit very hard (300 dmg about on 5000 armor).

I've been farming reputation for the 20-man raid encounters in this area with my guild and have gotten 1 rep from killing the twilight guys and 100 per text turn in, i am about 600 from revered and still get rep from turn ins and killing the twilight guys, if anyone wondered if it was like ZG and Argent Dawn, it is not. I guess blizzard made the rep for killing so low because you can farm them for revered status.

Theory: Knowing that you need special keys for places like Scholomance, Dire Maul etc.. you'll probably need a special mallet to hit the big gong that sits outside the wall.

More than likely it will be high-level, and you'll have to collect pieces to make it, much like the Mallet of Zul'Farrak.

It will be interesting to see what they come up with. But the idea of fighting lvl 60 Silithid does not sound appealing to me.

There is nothing behind the wall! It is not implemented jet so you can't pass it. But I'm sure that in a future patch or a wow-expansion there will be a possibility to get to the other side.

There are two things that I heard about it:

- There is a rumor that there will be a special raiding area behind that wall...
- There is a druid somewhere in Darnassus that tells a story about what's behind the wall; he tells that the night elves fought with some aliens (those are insects like those living everywhere in Silithus), and defeated them. After that the elves imprisoned them behind that wall.

I never see other players here, except an Undead Rogue farming off one of the humanoid camps once and a Horde Priest running around. There is a giant wall that actually divides this area in half, though there is a portal, there is no discernable way to open it (I've even looked through the quest chains), so I guess that area is not implemented yet.

Lot's of mobs to farm, but pretty high level (level 60 non-elites even). The hive areas are all populated by elite bugs, which I found impossible to solo as a level 60 Warrior.

The road to silithus is almost diametrically opposite the road to tanaris in Un'goro crater. It is a little counter-clockwise from Marshall's Refuge (when leaving the refuge, you would turn right).

Go to Tanaris. Ride to the creater strictly south. U see a dotted path on the map once u get close. Then ride through the crater area through to Silithus.

The crater is itself a great quest area for lvl 52 and upwards.
