Sholazar Basin is a wonder of wonder, an anomaly of nature - a tropical jungle in the midst of Northrend, the frozen continent. Surrounded by sharp ridges, the basin requires a great deal of climbing in order to be reached. Once in thre basin however, one has to wonder if he is still in northrend, the implacable ice field replaced by lush forests, filled with animals and insects of all kind.

Rumors has it that a powerful artifact, left behind by the titans, is the reason for the existence of this place as well as its apparent protection from the Scourge, who are nowhere to be found in this zone.

History

The basin is timeless and barely civilized, there's no history to speak of.

Horde & Alliance

• Need info. There's flight path leading there, but no indication of any 'town' so to speak. There are several locations in this zone with amenities for players, such as the flightpath at the Nesingwary Camp, which is available after a short quest.quest.

Hemet Nessingwary has already established a camp here, no doubt to enlist the players into slaughtering the nearby wildlife once again.

Major Population

• The Frenzyheart Tribe - Wolvar-form, at war with the Oracles.
• The Oracles - Hyper Evolved Murloc, at war with the Wolvar.

Players will get to choose which faction they wish to support, much like the Scryer/Aldor split of the Burning Crusade.

Geography

Sholazar Basin can be found to the north east of the Borean Tundra.
