I actually have used this to get rogues off me when death coil is on cd, but there are many situations (especially in pvp) where this spell has come in very handy. In fact, I practically spam this move in AV.


- It's mana cost is about half that of RoF
- Deals a respectable amount of AoE damage (about the equivalent of 2-3 secs of channeling from RoF, not including crits, which do alot more)
- Deals a 2 sec stun, uesful for any variant of pvp as well as putting some distance between you and mobs that are attacking you.
- At 0.5 sec, it's practically an instant-cast (the only real difference being you can't cast it while moving)
- For how powerful this spell is, a 20 sec cd is very generous

The only real gripe is that when you're not using it on level terrain, it gets a bit iffy. Other than that, though, if you're thinking about going destruction and wondering if this spell is worth it, it is, especially on my server where destro locks are few and far between.
