Objectives

Gann Stonespire wants you to bring him 6 vials of Nitroglycerin, 6 bundles of Wood Pulp, and 6 samples of Sodium Nitrate.

Description

It is clear the prospector depended on explosives and those noisy vehicles to rip the ground apart. We can expect a new foreman to take over soon.

I want to give the dwarves a taste of their own medicine. According to these plans if we combine nitroglycerin with wood pulp and sodium nitrate we can create an explosive charge. The rifleman, soldiers and officers in the Keep are known to have the supplies.

Collect these items and bring them to me. I will fashion a charge that the dwarves won't forget!

While Khazgorm's death might delay the digging in my ancestral lands some, it will by no means bring a total end to the destruction.

The Keep at Bael Modan is an increasing military threat. Built to defend the dig site, it is now poised for offensive force as well.

If you have the ingredients I requested, I can fashion a charge that will make the hasty dwarves reconsider their actions here in the Barrens.

not a hard quest for a level 20 warlock. But the Sodium Nitrate takes long! And their spawnrate is fast :)

For those who can't find Gann either to get the quests or to turn in the quests, it's probably because he's an easy mark for Alliance evildoers: a solo level 18 Pvp in the middle of nowhere. Walk the roads around the intersection of Southern Gold Road and the road to Dustwallow Marsh (46,75), and he'll show up. I have found him most often on Southern Gold Road around 46,81.

You can Stay Outside the Keep

Did this quest entirely with the soldiers and riflemen outside the Keep with my 25 Druid. You can pull each of the guards as you come up the ramp, one by one. Just about all of them drop one or two of the items needed. There's a 26 officer under the tent outside the Keep gate. When I killed off all the guards along the near part of the ramp I prowled past the gatekeeper guards, who are probably linked, and killed the two on the far side. By the time I was done a couple had re-spawned on the other side, so I prowled back over, shape shifted back and pulled them one at a time again. Took about 20 minutes total to get the 18 items, but no mobs (I had to handle two at a time a couple of times, but just used roots on one while I beat on the other). 20 silver and 2100 XP from Gann, who is doomed to pace the roads around the intersection of the road to Dustwallow Marsh and the Great Lift forever and ever.

I completed this quest, but when I returned to Gann I couldn't compkete the quest. I have all the items. Is this a bug?

Can find Bael'dun Soldiers, Riflemen, and Officers at 48,84 inside and outside the keep. Not too difficult as a 24 shaman. Mobs are 23-26.

When you do this quest, or the next one, make sure you get Tear Of The Moon (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?source=live;wquest=857&locale=enUS) from the Freegly The Excited at 48,86 (Just south of the dorf fort). The reward is crap, but when I accidently found the Tear Of The Moon quest I was lev 31, and got 2450 XP for my trouble.

(The Tear of the Moon which is the object you need is in the basement of the little fort in a box behind the named.)

As for this quest itself, easy enough :) If you don't fancy actually going into the fort, you can get most of the drops right outside, you might have to wait for repops though.

One important note: Crowd Control. This quest requires some.

I didn't think this one was too hard. I solo'd it as L25 shaman. Died once, but that was becasue I was greedy. :(

i just wasted the mobs outside. Once I did them all, the ones at the beginning respawned and I pwned them again.

The first few were dropping two of the items I needed, but as I re-killed them, the drops became less frequent, but the money was good...a few silvers were dropped and I bagged a bunch of wool.

The plane is at the dig, top of the tower you pass just as you start down the ramp.

I keep looking for these mobs & all I see are excavators, foreman, & a few named bosses, but no soliders, officers, or any other that might drop this stuff, I'll keep looking but results have been negative so far.

The keep is up on the left just as you get toward Bael Modun - not down the slope.
Although Im sure you can "solo" it easily with a pet, if you have no help it can be tricky as there are riflemen and you often get 2 mobs at once... they are lvl 24 ish

The excavators, foreman and bosses are below. The mobs you need are up the ramp in the keep. The stuff (nitrate, pulp and nitro) are drops off of the mobs. If you're in a group the stuff is treated as minor loot, so everyone will have to get to loot kills to get their share.

Soldiers, officers and so on are outside and inside the keep. They repop at a reasonable rate, so if you solo and do not have what it takes to go inside the keep on your own, you may want to pull those standing outside the keep and take them one by one.

This one is rather easy. Just head south on the southern gold road and on the left you'll see the Keep. Just head up the hill and kill the mobs outside of the keep. Everything will drop quickly.

Solo'd this at 26 with a 25 pet.

My results:
You gain 2100 experience.
Your reputation with Thunder Bluff has increased.
Received 20 Silver.
