at 80)Bring Smotts' Chest to Hecklebury Smotts in Booty Bay.
I used to sail a ship from here all the way to Ratchet, in Kalimdor. I was a successful captain with a sterling reputation.
Until...
Those cursed sea giants ruined me! They smashed my ship, killed my crew, and set me on a lifeboat to Booty Bay. And one of the giants, Gorlash, stole my Captain's Chest. He said he wanted it for a snuffbox. The nerve!
I hear Gorlash wanders the coast east of here. Find him and get back my chest! Do that, and you'll have earned a captain's gratitude.
Ahoy, <name>! Did you find Gorlash? That chest was my favorite, and it has a hidden compartment that held my greatest treasures!
You found it! Oh happy day, this is! Thank you, <name>. Getting back my chest cools some of the fire in me.
But my revenge isn't complete...

If you dont see him, just stroll up and down the coast a little as he will most probably be having one of his little walks.
61 Orc Hunter
Karazhan
<The Tenth>
49 Shadow Priest - Needed a mana pot, a couple of bandages.
Quest Reputation: Booty Bay +250, Bloodsail Bucs -250.
MOB Location: 36,70 (He's just offshore, pacing)
MOB Level: 42 Elite
MOB HP: ~6500
MOB Experience: 407 Normal, 814 Rested
I was rather fortunate to get him as a 42 Elite. Soloed as a 48 Proc Warrior (Dual Wielding, Battle Stance). Figure if it's higher level then to modify this strategy accordingly.
First, make sure you have a decent health potion, or be prepared to use Last Stand in case your HP gets too low (didn't have this problem, but 1500 more HP on the MOB would definitely require it). You can always throw up an Intimidating Shout and use a Heavy Runecloth if need be.
Strategy was simple. Charged, Bloodrage, Demoralizing Shout, Sunder, Retaliation, then spam Heroic Strike and Sunder. Remember to keep sunder up (I had 5 on him before he had 50% health). When execute comes up, use it. It's wonderous to see that much HP disappear at one time. ^.^
Was relatively easy. Will try again if he pops as a level 47.

I soloted him as a lvl 48 warrior. Rend, Sunder, Sunder, Sunder ( now he had 50% hp ) then heoric strike and MS all the way, when he had 19% I executed him for 1988 :)
Had to use a Healing potion though.
Solo'd as a 44 BE hunter, cleared the casters on the beach and got 3 mana taps from em, then just kited him around the beach till he died, had my pet nip at his heels the whole time (dont get pet to tank him) used 1 mana pot, and my arc torrent.
Got a pathetic 3150xp.

I sent in Voidy, set up my DoTs, should have used CoW instead of CoA. My poor Voidy was hit hard in the opening rounds. Didn't have much time to Health Funnel Voidy. Then my only SB aggro the beastie with barely a smidgeon of hp left on Voidy...had to sac Voidy...I ran like Forest Gump with the beastie pounding away at me with his feet...ha ha no effect with VW sacrifice...after a short run the beastie disengaged pursuit.
I waited abt 5 mins and by that time two Alliance members had gathered with me, I belive they were a druid and a pally. Anyway, this time I was determined to drop the beastie. I went in with CoW this time, then the two Alliance members swooped in with full force...we tore that giant apart with me finishing the beastie with a Soul Fire. Great Finish!!!
Needless to say I could not have done it w/o the help of the Alliance Members, especially since I am part of the Horde.
2900xp
rep with Booty Bay "increased"
rep with Bloodsail Bucs "greatly decreased"
Start with mind blast, devouring plague, and shadow word pain. Mind flay until he gets to you, then fear and run the other way. Reapply shadow word pain when it runs out, and just keep running. When he catches up to you again, fear AGAIN and shadow word pain. It might take a while, but I killed him without even taking a hit.
I didn't stand a chance at level 47 (shadow priest) against this 47+ critter (around 8K health - i.e. at least 5 or 6 SW:P + Fear cycles are needed).
At least in my case Fear has a cooldown of 30 secs and he came back running to me after about 5 secs. This guy dishes out > 250 dps -- no way to survive another 25 seconds.
I'll get back to him, but next time I'll bring help...
Editing in some more information:
He's quite easy to find, really, just follow the shores north, he's a big greenish sea giant. (Behind the bloodsailor camps, behind the zombiemasters ruins)

Showed up as level 47 until I engaged him and he we 46 then, and his corpse was 47 again. Bit odd. I doubt I was look at my own level, but I'm tired so anything's possible =P
