Objectives

Grab a Crate with Holes.
Grab a Snufflenose Command Stick.
Grab and read the Snufflenose Owner's Manual.

In Razorfen Kraul, use the Crate with Holes to summon a Snufflenose Gopher, and use the Command Stick on the gopher to make it search for Tubers.

Bring 6 Blueleaf Tubers, the Snufflenose Command Stick and the Crate with Holes to Mebok Mizzyrix in Ratchet.

Description

Blueleaf tubers are a delicacy around the world! But they're rare, very rare. The only place to find them is here in the Barrens, deep in the earth, in Razorfen Kraul.

And even then, they're impossible to find unless you know just where to look! That's why I've trained these snufflenose gophers to find them for me. They have great noses and can smell a tuber from fifty paces away.

It won't be easy, but if you get me some tubers I'll pay you handsomely.

Progress

Do you have the tubers, <name>?

Completion

Great, you got them! I can sell these to my contacts for a bundle!

Thanks for the delivery, <name>! You are a great partner.

here's the directions from Ronosh Beast so you don't have to scroll down. you have to clear a couple NPCs. stand on the Vine to summon the gopher. with each click of the stick, the gopher wiggles his whiskers at you and digs up a tall tuber.

Okay, it took some time and clicking to actually locate a nice area, but here it is:

After you enter the dungeon, travel along the tunnel until your first T-junction.

Take the LEFT path

Go along until you come to what appears to be a dead-end ledge. There is actually a large green vine to your RIGHT, which is a bridge. (go across the bridge)

Taking this bridge.

The area directly at the end of this bridge is blueleaf tuber country. Once I summoned the snufflenose, I didn't even need to move. Just keep clicking on the command stick.

For the previous post, you do not see the tubers at all until you release your snufflenose and instruct it to locate one. As the instruction manual mentions, they are underground.

directions by Ronoshbeast were right.

Stand near the cauldron. Right click the crate to summon gopher. Than right clck wand. It'll take a few seconds for tuber to appear next to you. Right click on it.
Repeat til you have all 6. No need to move while doing this.

Also, if you do the escort quest for Willix The Importer, he tells you the trench your going through with him is a good place to find tubers.

I think it is random, because I got it to work at the very beginning of the Vine that is described by RonoshBeast. I took one step onto the Vine and it worked (however it didnt work anywhere else on the vine - nor at the end neither at the cauldron). I got all 6 there. It is around 62, 44.

OMG that Snufflenose Gopher is the cutest PET EVER - I WANT TO KEEP IT :-D

Directions are correct, however, I found my snufflenose would not come out of the box by the cauldron. Instead I went to the area right when I got off the vine bridge and stood just to the right of it. I did not have to move, and had to use the snufflenose stick each time I wanted a tuber, but it worked.

I was running along the corridor and turned the corner just to be chased by a Level 25 (Elite) and his pet. I got out the place alive, mid you the Lvl 25 survived as well (with no harm). Maybe I should wait until I'm a much higher level...?

just fyi based on my attempt at this tonite...

A quick note on the stealth to the green vine method of completing this quest. Just now I made the attempt as a Level 24 Druid. I went cat/prowl all the way to the vine np. Lucky probably at that level that no inhabitants saw thru my stealth, but they didn't. Once on the vine I went to take out my gopher and before I could even do so a Raging Agam'ar spawned right ON the vine out of nowhere.

I would recommend doing this as a part of a group run of the instance, and not trying to stealth it unless you easily solo these mobs. If you do stealth it, do so as a higher level, clear the area just across the vine bridge (as one of the posts here offers) and then get your tubers, but if you are not capable of clearing first, don't expect to be able to run this method for this quest.

I dont mind him stating the correct coordinates, I actually appreciate it, but did he have to post it 3 times? It's hard enough to wade thru alot of the crap postings without having to read the same posts over and over. And FYI, if you make a mistake when you type out your post, don't repost it, just edit the post you already made. Let's keep these listings short, simple and to the point! It will make it easier for everyone to find the info they are looking for.

I just completed this, actually went back in as duo Warrior/Priest 34. The instructions given by RonoshBeast are very good, but we encountered something different.

We cleared across the bridge and everything past it very easily, you don't see the 28's until you cross the bridge, everything is 24 up to it. Well I kept getting "need nerby tubers" when trying to summon in the exact spot that was described. We even cleared everything past the bridge including the named easy 28.

Went back across the bridge and sniffered and he popped, didn't have to take the bridge at all which is what was said before. Be sure to try once before crossing the bridge!

This is easy when you can stealth.

you can actually stand ON the green vine and summon the animal. you dont need to move. the great thing about it is you are outside the range of all of the mobs....

you then stealth and leave

When you enter Razorfen Kraul, follow RonoshBeast's directions. When you are in the area described in his post, you'll right click the box that you recieved, and a gopher will appear. Then you will right click the rod that you picked up to command the gopher to go looking for any Blueleaf Tubers. It'll say that the gopher is wiggling it's whiskers or something along those lines, as it sits there, then it will commence the searching. Note that enemies WILL attack your gophers so clear a hefty sized area before trying to find the Tubers.

I had 5 points in improved stealth but im sure you can do this with a bit of time without it. As soon as you enter the instance stealth and take the first turn left, follow that till you get to a vine like bridge and make sure you are out of aggro range from the 2 guards behind, unstealth and perfom the usual actions to collect your tubers.

Contents for my gems were identical. I could not re-use the jewelry box after removing the gems. wound up selling the jewelry box. We found our tubers on a plateau just before the double-long bridge. Incidently, you can fire off more than one "snuffalafagus" gopher to speed up the searching. I think we had three, and for a 5 member party, that's still 30 tubers. The gophers wind up stacking on top of each other, so it does like a "windows cursor mouse-trails" or matrix-dodge effect on em :P

Once you picked up the items, head South the Razorfen Kraul. Once in there, take your first right, and follwo the direction from SevenVII: Once you are inside we had to kill(took the right passage) for about 10-15 before we found an area that would let us use the gophers! After they find 1 just stay in that area and they will find more :D
