I found a dusty tome in DM East in the courtyard where Old Ironbark is. I've stealth farmed groms and dreamfoil in this cy time and time again and this was the first time to see the tome in the cy so it's likely a very low spawn %, but worth checking if you're tooling around in the are.

I've almost been living in DM for a while now. . .

Basic: understand that DM is 1 instance, even though it consists of 3 parts that have seperate loading screens. Either all are resetted or none etc. That's important to understand because:

There will be a maximum of only ONE dusty tome in DM at any time. So if a tome is in DM east you won't find any in west or nord and vice versa. So you'd basically be forced to run all 3 parts to be sure. . .

What to look for: Many might ask how the tome looks. It's a plain red book, pretty obvious if you know how it looks. Note it doesnt show up on dwarves treasure scan.

Also they worked on spawn locations:

DM east: -there can be one directly near Lethendris

DM north: -moving east in the yard with Fengus in the south west corner near the 2 ogre magi

-under the ramp where Slip'kik patrols

-directly behind Cho'rush the observer

DM west -no known location


That's right, the corner seems to have been removed for good. Most likely cause almost all classes could get the book there. . .

Also drop rate on bosses is more then sucky and Mol'dar really seem's to have sold all his books. I'm now 0/100+ on him and i have yet to see any book.

I think they've made the spawn rate on these suckers uber-high since 1.8.. I haven't seen one in about 10-12 runs through north & west..

Yes it still spawn, and i got my foror's from there 2 days ago.
