Easy killing here.. I am 58 Fire Mage and with 60 Shaman, Warrior & 2 xHunter we managed to do this really easy and quick.. All this stuff about magic.. I almost had 1/3 of HP on my account cause of the Crits with fire.. Just dont have the quest yet :)

And he dropped the super duper great mega.. nothing...

I soloed him as a rogue with 8/9 t3 and Kingsfall mainhand. It was REALLY hard.. Dont even bother trying.

I need a little help on this. Obviously, the kiting is easy, but, with Aspect of the Cheetah on, Chronalis drops behind and I'm forced to wait for him to catch up. As soon as he gets in range, he fires what looks like Arcane Missiles at me, hitting me for a fair amount of damage. If I try to kite him with a different aspect on, he hits me anyway. Did any of you experience this when you kited him, or is there a way around it? Any help would be appreciated.

best way is not to stop but use sidestep when you get too far ahead, that way the second hes in range you can loose a shot and still be moving, simply stop sidestepping and continue to run forward to regain the distance. takes a bit of practice but once you got it hes easy

After how hard i found somnus i thought this guy would be difficult. it took me 20 mins to kill occulus, tick and him, including down time and kiting time. i walked into a stealth enemy at one point and got hit, which stunned me, but i was able to get my pet to hit the dragon while i feigned death and shook the stun off. i then carried on until he died without a hitch

This guy is immune to most spells, so mages and locks arnt the best DPS here. Make sure you have rly nice Hunters and Rogues in your groups to get a the pyhisacal DPS going. He has alot of HP but with a good healer the tank will do fine.
(Was hitting me for 600-800 damage in bear form and I had around 70FR at the time,so make sure you bring ya FR gear for this fight)

Now that we all have a reputation bar for the Brood of Nozdormu (linked to AQ40), will killing Chronalis affect us negatively? Has anyone tried? I don't really want to try it out, only to find that I lose a bazillion rep points. At the same time, it would be a shame if I could not kill him anymore to help friends in their Onyxia chain...

Took him down by training him into gadgetzan and letting the bruisers do the work for me. If you intend to do this yourself, note that the bruisers will not attackhim on sight. You have to get near some of them, then let chronalis use his breath attack so that some bruisers are hit by it. That's the only way they will attack him. It will take several bruisers to bring him down.

Careful, Warlocks -- he was immune to all my shadow spells (Curses, Corruption and Shadowbolt, as well as my shadow-based wand).

He is immune to shadow AND arcane, as are ALL the dragons in test of skulls

thats not true actually, somnus is not immune to arcane, he is however immune to nature

Somnus is not immune to shadow damage either, a 70 hunter and I decided to take her down once when I was about 56 and I did manage to land a corruption on her.
