I soloed this as a 38 rogue, pulling each individual enemy until it was just the Baron and a mage. Unfortunately the baron didn't fall for my Stealth and attacked me before I could disable the mage. I just barely managed to kill the Baron RIGHT before I died. Then I ran all the way back and picked up the loot before Sprinting my ass out of there.

I found him against the northernmost edge of the uplands, outside in one of the camps. You just have to be careful.

This mission was so easy. I did it with a level 1 Palydin. He was like the first guy I killed. I am not going to post anything useful about this quest. I am just going to brag about how it was so incredibly easy with a character far below the recommended level. I'm so awesome and stuff. Blah blah blah.

Seriously Level 41 Warrior. Artesian Blacksmith with the finest weapons and armor. I lost count of how many times I died. Luckily the grave yard is close by. He was in the middle camp and I could run a straight line from the graveyard by jumping off a hill. An Alliance player killed Baron Vardus twice probably just to screw with me. Both times he respawned in the middle camp. I found myself wishing I had some healing potions before it was over.

3rd camp NW of strahnbrad, lots of 36-38 mobs around him. soloed as a 37 lock, almost died once, but healthstoned and health potion saved me.

Found him at the 2nd most Western camp. Solo'd with a 35Druid. Needless to say losts of poping out to heal. But it is do-albe with a couple of handy mana pots available.

He is right in the basement of the inn in the town ignore the whole hes in a camp junk, hes in that town, behind the barrels in the basement.

He was found for me at 58.24 stood in the middle of a camp North of the Ruins.

Seems he either spawns in the basement of the inn or one of the small camps further north.

I found him at the last camp next to the farm!!!!

I saw that guy (just at the yellow circle on the map below) when I was going for Nagaz' head.
As he is "named", I though I could get some good stuff. I killed him (and aggro'ed those mobs arround, who gave me a hard time). He was generous enougth to drop me silver and silk : /

But the strange thing is, I decided to keep going for Nagaz, just turned arround the little mounts near the camp, and saw him a second time. This has happened in less than 3 minutes. Weird thing.

Found him near the 2nd camp along from the lake.
He was surrounded by minions, but only one dragged with him when I pulled, pretty easy at 38.

I found him in the middle of one of the little camps along the ridge. He's a mage, and therefore easy to make out amongst the warriors & rogues...

i looked for him for hours
couldnt find him
