Bought the recipe from AH today for 50g (on my server the medium price is 100g so I guess I was lucky). After buying it, I went straight in The Barrens to do some fishing thing. Got 50 Deviate Fish in less than an hour, cooked 'em and sold 'em for 60g. Gonna do this again tomorrow, since the profit is really good.

So, I was on my 17 Tauren Druid when i killed a Kolkar Wrangler and he dropped the recipe. So I set it up with my friends, and put it on neutral AH for 1s buyout to get it to my main so he could learn it. I switched to my main and my friend said "Nope, not seeing it." and I had it up on the screen, so I asked where she was. Turns out, she thought IF was a neutral AH. So I tried to buyout. "You cannot buyout your own auction.". So I lost my Deviate recipe. Then I met a NE hunter who bought out for me and gave to me for 10s. Apparently she didn't know the value. ^^ So I learned it and am now trying to get the dang fish.

if youd actually read it youd have seen he meant he got the recipe on his tauren(HORDE) character, and put it on the NEUTRAL(notice NOT HORDE) auction house so his ALLIANCE(NOT HORDE) main could get it off NEUTRAL auction, which is the only way to trade between ALLIANCE and HORDE, so his ALLIANCE main traded with an ALLIANCE night elf. clear?

I would like to see that happen. You do realize you can't have an alliance character AND a horde character on the same server right? Unless you have multiple accounts then you could.

I fished in the Lushwater Oasis for exactly 30 min to provide you with the information about the fishrate.

I found that if you fish concentrated (so no talking to friends, or taking screenshots, and no MSN), you can fish 1 every single minute. Of course, it's difficult to stay focused for 16 hours straight.

These were my results:
I started fishing at 10:00, I had 9 fishes
I ended at 10:30, I had 36 fishes

You must note that I was talking, and I dced twice... but anyways, I got 27 fishes... and 8 Raw Bristle Whisker Catfish, 55 Raw Longjaw Mud Snapper, 7 Raw Brilliant Smallfish, a 22-Pound Catfish (Held in Off-Hand, this looks cool, yay!), and a Lesser Healing Potion... wonder what the potion was doing there...

anyways, I'm trying to get my dad to this place and fish some too, probably 'round 100g/hour then, 1g/fish... need to get my fishing skill up, though.

If you do, however, manage to stay focused for 18 hours straight and you're lucky in prices (1g20s a piece), you might about 1300g! I think I'll keep this going for a while... :) Good luck on this you all!

when its cooked it only had two affects on me it eighter changed me into a pirate or a ninja i bought it for 12g and sell each for 50s i got 43g buy sellin this stuff for a weak.great way to make quik cash.you can find it in most monsters in the barrens the best are burning blade bruisers and the razormane,or bristle back whichever i forget the one close to xroads.ppl say they got it from the razormane thornweaver the most.eighter way the best chance of finding this thing is 0.03% so i just recommend goin and buyin it, cause it almost ruined the game tryin to find it i eventually gave up after 7 hours of farmin and bought it. oh yeah each one lasts for 1 hour

Best story about this recipie ever, its simple. my level 40 friend gave a finished product. i ate it and instantly became obsessed. the funny thing is i thought that it was a high level thing until i got the recipie from a random drop in barrens. =D

Okay, I don't expect anyone to believe this, but, TRUE STORY!

About an hour ago I saw the Recipe on the AH. There is one that has been up for 3 days for 50g. At first glance, I thought this was the same one. I scrolled down some more, then back up, and noticed that it wasn't 50s. At this point I did a double-take to make sure my eyes weren't being mean to me. 2s! I nearly let out a yelp when I saw this listed for 2s. I, of course, bought it out, and am now trying to resell it, so if anyone on Lothar is interested, whisper me on the character 'Sinassassin' or send me a letter, and I'll get back with you.

Congratulations, and yes I do believe it. You probably got in the middle of a cross-faction transfer.

Early in the morning, I can often find high level stuff on sale really, really cheap. This is from a player with two accounts, who wishes to supply their Horde characters with the Alliance characters' gear. Lacking an agent, they put it up on the neutral AH, then log out, log in under the second account, and buy the item(s)... IF it works. If not, they lose big.

Of course, all's fair in love and war! And we ARE at war against the other faction. SO enjoy your purchase and let no one guilt you into returning it.

if a player eats one of these and becomes (for example) a ninja and mounts up, they stay in ninja form right?

what happens if its a Druid? will they morph back to caster form if they shift into feral form and back?

just seeing if actually keeping the recipe is worth it for my Druid

Ive been so bored lately so collected costumes.

So fr i have a FULL Tux set, Farmer set, and im working on the pirate set. HOWEVER i cannot find the legs shown in the pics above.

Sage's Pants are blue stripe, and theres one with a green stipe, but no red stripe. HELP!

iv been asking people how to get the pirate form for like a month now and i just happened upon a guy in furbolg form and asked him. he didnt know then liek 3 seconds later he bought this from the aha dn gave me 2 of them. i got turned into a ninja. kinda dissapointing that you dont get any buffs when u eat this but its still fun to use

Okay My hunter lives on Devi's being a cute cowgirl she is less than agil so Keeping her stocked in Devi's IMO seems to help that sluggishness we cows seem to have. Anywho here is the run down:

Savory Deviate Delight DOES NOT cause anything other than a pirate or ninja morph. The other effect are from RAW Deviate fish. You go fishing in WC in any of the bodies of water or the pond just outside to catch DEVIATE fish. You then need the recipe Savory Deviat Delight to make them. Deviate fish are yellow, blue and red and look just like firefin snapper. While the cooked Delight is purple in color and look like the oily blackmouths so dont get giped. I happen to try raw deviate on 3 occassions (2 by mistake) Once it healed me to full health and the other two not only cursed me but my party with something called partytime fever or the like where you do crazy crap like bawk like a chicken at ramdom times until the effect is over. On Akama I have seen this recipe for over 20g and have been lucky enough to have not one but 4 drop, and lucked out at one time and found someone selling it in the AH for about a gold. If you are lucky there will be people selling the raw Devi's for 3-4 gold a stack find someone that will cook them for you as buying delight from the AH usually runs about 5g for 5 =x. Hope that clears up some things for ya.

you can also get them in any of the oasises in the barrens. fishing them can take a little time, but if you're up for some fun afterwards it's worth it.

Actually, a raw will give you a random buff or nerf, while the cooked buff you or turn you into one of those or slime.

Rumor has it that you can't be polymorphed while in the altered form...pretty useful effect in PvP or with mobs that polymorph.

Can someone confirm a rumour for me?

I heard that during the hotfix for Blackwing Lair, they nerfed Deviate Delights so they would only give Pirate/Ninja form, and not have any of the other effects (quick cast, fear, feign death etc...), can someone confirm this?

These fish have become all the rage lately. They sell very well at usually 50s to 60s each. I tend to sell them in stacks of 5 or more. The polymorph effects Flip Out and Yarrr last for 60 minutes. Everything is normall except your animations and you can not mount when polymorphed. Unless you find the recipe yourself, expect to pay 60g to 100g on the Perenolde server.

Fighting as Pirate/Ninja/ooze?

Is it possible to fight as a pirate, Ninja, or even as Ooze? Or does it turn you into what you were before as soon as you start the fight?

And do you make your normal Race sounds? As a pirate (your race is Orc), for example, can you fall off a cliff and it'll do the Orc sound, or will it do the Human?

You can fight as each, and you dont change

All I know is that you tell your original race jokes, but the animations are all human

I fished in the little pound right outside Wailing Caverns for these levels - you can stockpile Deviate Fish, and your skill should level pretty decently.

Wow. When it hit the market it was only selling for 50s. I was too slow and it soon hit 30s, 20s, and 10s. Luckily I have a friend who will buy about three for 1g, since he's uninterested in Fishing and cooking.

I used this last night and was affected by fear and subsequent cowardice.

Does anyone know what cowardice does to you? I seem to have suffered a crit percentage and ATK loss.

When you have the fear debuff, it can randomly proc again as you're fighting something.

One thing that might bear some investigation - I have a L60 rogue friend who swears that he does more damage as a ninja....

As a priest I've experienced +450 mana on two separate occasions.

I'm not sure if this number is fixed or if there's a chance to gain more or less mana.

I wouldn't think so, but someone should try it sometime... You might be able to fool some allys into thinking you're one of them, taking in mind they don't mouse over you...

This is a fun recipe.

It's not for combat, but it's fun at parties!

When you eat it, it has random effects. Here is a list of everything it has done so far for me. (I've eaten about 40 of em so far)

-Illusion of a human pirate (you really look like a pirate for 1 hour!)
-Illusion of a human ninja for 1 hour
-Illusion of a green ooze for only about 10 seconds
-Fake Death (just like a hunter) lasts for about 2 minutes or until you move
-Instant 20-40 Rage (for anyone who has rage)
-Fast Casting (for 60 seconds, all spells you cast only take half the time to cast)
-Fear (you get feared and run around for 5 seconds and then have the fear icon where your buffs are for 10 minutes, but I haven't noticed it do anything after you stop running around)
-Nothing (every once and a while, it doesn't do anything when you eat it.) This could be the instant heal that people have talked about. But I'm always full health when I eat these.

It only takes one deviate fish and one mild spice to cook per piece of deviate delight.

The deviate fish can be fished up in wailing caverns. You can even fish them in the instance. Thats the smart way to do it so no alliance will gank you while you are fishing. Because they like to fish in there too for the deviate fish.

So how come Horde can gank us while we're in Alliance territory i.e Westfall?

I have had a Fake Death for 5 minutes (if you don't move by the end of it you die for real), Fear, 50% Faster Casting for 2 minutes, Instant Heal, Slime Form for 5 seconds, Pirate form for 1 hour. Also heard that there is Ninja for, but haven't seen it yet.
