Why the hell are these epic? Also compare them to Aran's Plate Shoulders.

There is no contest between the three, plus the fact that those two high level blues come from Heroics, not normal instances. Therefore those blues are border line epic as is. Plus what do you expect? Heroics and Karazhan are all SUPPOSED to be small steps up as you move through the progresison of the game. You're not going to go from crap blues to T6 quality immediately. This is perfectly balanced for the point in Kara that they are gotten from, and the fact that everyone and their dogs are clearing kara now.
