I believe you need a skill of 450 with fishing buffs to fish in this area. So 350 fishing with +100 lures, or 375 with +75 lures. Of course theres other pieces like the +20 pole, but from what I read its a 450 zone, so get your fishing level + gear up to 450 and you should be fine.

Tip: grab the fishing rod quest in lower city, shattrath. Easy quest, takes 20 minutes, you get a +20 pole. Right now my fishings at 337, +20 pole, and I have stacks of +75 and +100 lures. I should be fine fishing for these with +100 lures along with my +20 pole. 337 + 100 + 20 = 457, but those lures are a pain, so I'll keep level'ing my fishing to 355 in zangermarsh, then I can use the 10 minute +75 lures.

All I know is that the new food is nice in general... 23spelldmg - 44healing - 30stm - agi - str - int... it's all there really.

These fishes are pretty hard to catch tho... Even with my base 304skill + 25 from pole & lucky fishing hat & 75skill lure I still get a lot of "your fish got away" messages...

I can suggest one thing tho. Roam arround the rivers in Terokkar. There are pools that drop these fishing. Same pools can also drop stuff like mote of water & "goldenscale vendorfish" which can be sold to a vendor for 6gold each O.o

310 isn't high enough to cast in Allerian, but 385 sure is. All the places sound like they're in Terrokar, not sure if there are easier spots to fish in. All I could seem to catch was Barbed Gill Trout.
