Feral spec 70 druid, I was able to farm linen cloth at the rate of 1 stack per 2 minutes. Great quick way to farm cloth for many things, such as repairing goblin faction once you completed bloodsail achievements or got blood parrot. Need about 168 stacks (or about 5h 30m farming) to raise Ratchet to neutral from max hated. Sure beats shelling out 3 or 4g per stack on AH if you're a penny pincher type player.

Is that All?
This is the Number One Place in the ENTIRE GAME to Farm for Linen Cloth.
The mobs are Frostmane Trolls (Lvl 6-10) that come out Charging towards a Band of Ironforge Guards(Lvl 65E) and Mountaineers(Lvl 40) in waves of 3, with about 10 seconds in between each wave.
**Gee, I wonder who wins that fight...
It's all part of a Cinematic that can be seen when Flying from Ironforge to Menethil Harbor
-- Hunters Pay Attention --
What I do is Stand in front of the Cave and wait until I've aggro'd about 9 to 15 Trolls, and then drop an Explosive Trap and wipe 'em all out in one Blast.
I did some AOE w/ my Hunter (Explosive Trap) and came down the Mountain with 12 Stacks of Linen Cloth (240 pieces) in just over 30 Min.

**Horde Players shouldn't have any problems w/ this place, so long as you stay the hell away from the Elite Guards (They usually keep their distance from the cave)
Keep in mind though, I'm a Lvl 48 Hunter who does Stock-piling Runs for his Guild. I wouldn't Try Solo'ing these Guys if ur Lower than Lvl 15.
**If you're a Hunter and don't have Explosive Trap yet, Multi-Shot also works great.
Other Misc. Loot (Over the Course of 32 min.):

2 x Training Sword of the...

Obviously there's No Way I could carry all of this, so I had to bite my knuckles and destroy just about all the White's that Dropped.
**Blizzard took the time to put a Pet Trainer all the way up there... Why couldn't they have put a some kind of Vendor up there too??? Argh
But anyways, If you're only up there for fast linen, then trashing All of your White's shouldn't be too big of an Issue.
** And for those of you who don't know how to get to the Airfield, here's a Hint:
The Trail starts somewhere close to Algaz Station.

They have the statistics above of 30%.. but they tend to drop 3 at a time, so i would say its more like 1 unit/kill myself

As of the Burning Crusade, there's now a Clothier in Silvermoon that sells unlimited Quantities of Linen Cloth and other Materials.
If not noted otherwise, I absolutely agree with Kiggulak.
