All high level blues (~66-70) disenchant into this, and greens from the same level range have a small chance to be disenchanted into this, though they would usually DE into arcane dust or planar essences.

I'm unable to find the formula to turn three SPS into one LPS. I'm assuming it's not a drop nor a purchase from a vendor. Any pointers?

why isn't there a list of items that can be disenchanted into this like the other enchanting mats?

Because there's just too many to list. There is a formula though. It goes:

Any BC-item type (no old world items can disenchant into these). Then you have to have an item level required of 66 or higher. Greens have about a small chance (4-5%? according to enchantrix), then blues are gauranteed 98% to be a large shard (other 2% is void crystal). And epic items always disenchant into voids.

I bet you're asking for the easiest instance or place to get these solo and it would have to be durnholde keep, non-heroic. Those items are minimum 66+ so they always disenchant into large shards. I *THINK* mana tombs could work but it's such a long instance so, meh.

I've found with the greens, that disenchanting a weapon gives you a greater chance to get one of these. Weapons are more valuable than other gear so it makes sense that they disenchant into more valuable mats.
