This is completely incorrect. Miss chance on even level mobs is 5%+(attacker weapon skill - defender defense skill)*.04%. For dual-wielding, the chance is 24%(weapon skill - defense skill)*.04%. Each level difference between you and the mob is therefore only 0.04% more chance to miss.
Attacking a mob 3 levels above you does NOT give 17% chance to miss, it gives 6.2%. Next time, get your info from somewhere reliable, instead of a website that advertises exploits.
Maybe you should actually read before you respond. He is talking about +% to hit gear, and his formulas are correct for that. The site you posted as your source talks about WEAPON SKILL points, not +% to hit gear at all.
[Copied from http://www.wowwiki.com/Formulas:Weapon_Skill] Each point of weapon skill you have over your opponent's defense increases your chances to crit and hit by 0.04%, and reduces your opponent's chance to block, parry, and dodge by 0.04%. Effectively you can consider it to be the inverse of the defense skill.
530 Armor +13 Strength +13 Agility +13 Stamina 1% Chance to Hit
They're about on par with the Bloodsoaked Pauldrons from Mandokir in ZG, at least of Chance to Hit is no longer important to you (I'm totalling 102% at the moment with these, so I'd rather take the Bloodsoaked ones, for some extra AP and Stamina). The only really bad thing about them is their looks. They look like utter crap, I can only hope it's a placeholder.
Well it depends, if you're doing lots of raiding, then 102% is scaled down on higher level mobs, especially bosses, so I would probably use them over Bloodsoaked, that is, if I was DW.
The 15 agility along with the 1% to hit makes these better than any other shoulders for arms/fury. The Razorsteel Shoulders from the class quest are a close second though.
The only better ones for arms/fury are the Conquerors Spaulders from AQ40 reputation turnins.
Actually I think you need to learn2knowwtfyou'retalkingabout...
The OP was stating that they could be "of the Bear" or "of the Tiger", ie the standard item variations.
However, the items introduced in Silithus don't receive the old variations, instead they introduced a new variation model with "of Striking", "of Restoration", "of Sorcery", or "of Eluding" all with different stat sets that go with them, that wouldn't fit into the old model.
So...before you go insulting someone and calling down what they say, maybe you should verify that you know what you're talking about first, k?
i really want them hard with my DW warrior - 1% hit is always nice and im just wondering now what they look like ... leggings are red - red shoulders would be kinda cool ^^
These are +15 Strength, Agility & Stamina paired with the shoulders inherent +1% hit chance - very nice, indeed.
Although I want them to be "of Restoration" for my little healerdin - I'd guess 24 healing and 5 mana/tick, making them equal to the Tier 1 epic shoulders, if not better

I believe it's around that much healing, but it restores health, not mana. :( I wish it restored mana though, that would be awesome. That's what the boots and pants my guy has on do.

If those are the same, 15 str 15 agi 15 sta 1% hit, then those are the best non-epic pvp shoulderpads outthere.
