10.72% Chance To Drop. (1,768 in 16,496) Found on 2 creatures in 1 zones (average creature level: 1).This item is found on creatures which usually require more than one group to kill. This item can only be found on specific creatures.
I got this last night on my guild's first run through ZG. I was pretty happy, considering that they replaced some crappy green leggings I'd been itching to get rid of. Incidently, those leggings were the only non-+dmg armor item on my mage, so FTW.
This is one of the last blue items I have on my 60 mage. While I personally think they are better than Arcanist Leggings they will be replaced with them. My reason for this is because of the last piece set of the Arcanist Set which is 15% reduced threat. I keep a good supply of +Damage gear on my mage, but i'm all about steady above average dps and being able to hit without causing aggro. When i'm done I will have about a +8 - 10% chance to hit bonus. 55% reduced aggro on arcane spells, and 45% reduced aggro on Frost Spells. When we start AQ40 this will become even great, but I will then have more DPS gear to make it all worthwhile. I see far to many mages with +damage gear tearing mobs away from the main tank. I don't want to be known for this either:).
felheart leggings are only marginally better than these leggings. the 5-piece felheart bonus can be handy sometimes, and if you need that bonus you should wear the leggings because they're one of the best pieces in the set. and if you ever need shadow resistance felheart leggings would be better, but, for most situations these leggings are just as good as felheart.
I've had these on my undead warlock for a while, but tonight, I just got them on my human warlock. (: I won them with a 32. Was good for me, nice upgrade from Abyssal Cloth Pants of Sorcery.
This amazing item drops of Bloodlord Mandokir. Mandokir is the third boss located in the Zul Gurrub Instance. He is not one of Hakkars high priests and does not have to be killed to kill fight Hakkar. He is located just past that of Venoxis, and up a large series of stairs. The guide for killing him, and claiming your phat lewt can be found here: http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/mob.html?wmob=11382&mid=11395091245437
I got this drop last night for my priest. The only thing I hate about them is that it looks like a woman's skirt. I prefer the pants look.
The boost on healing helps a lot. Some of the pulls in this zone are nuts and you need the better gear to do well there.
What I appreciate is the opportunity to get decent drops without having to have the numbers you have to have for Molten Core. And it's not like everyone who goes gets one.
The fight is a bit odd, and if you haven't been through it a few times to figure it out, it's a bear. Once you have it figured out, and can get everyone to be where they need to be and do what they need to do, it's still a challenge and a lot of fun. It's by no means a cakewalk.
I picked this up last night on my first trip in. In all honesty though, this item is a bit too good to be dropping in Zul'gurub. The +damage is only 2 less than Netherwind, and this thing has pretty decent stats. Of course it already seems most of the BWL blue drops are on par or better than MC drops, so gg Blizzard on rewarding people for doing less work and basically screwing over the people who spent all that time learning and beating MC.
Piemage, 60 UD Mage, Firetree.
