I love these gloves. They are very good. Although on fights like instructor in Naxx or places where I chain heal alot... they arent that great... so I do swap them for mana/5 gear.
The key to making these gloves.. let alone spirit worth it is to not heal if noone is taking dmg... alot of priests in early on raids just spam heal and never stop... then they go OOM and say spirit sucks.... With 350 spirit (when not using my soulkeeper with 20 spirit) I regen enough mana in my gear to get 106 mana ever 2 secs.... (Raid buffed around 112) And I have the darkmoon card which procs all the time for me.... And if you use the darkmoon with spell timing properly... you can do some sick regen (1 time w/o innervate I regened 400% of my 8k mana pool in 6-7 min fight and still had more then 20% mana at the end)
Haha, those who says that spirit suck is plain stupid. These gloves rock if you have talents on spiritual guidance. And with 3 transendence bonus set and 5 points on meditation, you have mana enough to keep healing for a very long time. If you are just ignoring the spirit and only goes for the intellect, then i feel sorry for you.
The spirit on these are pretty hot, but i would NEVER trade them over from my gloves of prophecy. I would use them for a secondary set, hence, not worth the DKP.
Pushing 300 spirit on my up and coming Shadow Priest. When I have magewater, with spirit tap, I can get a full manabar(440+ mana/tick) in just a few moments when I get a killing blow. This is GREAT for PvP or faction grinding. When in an instance such as BWL, the supression room especially, where timing is critical, this makes mana'ing up that much faster.
I'm very pleased with them over the Shadowy Laced Handwraps I used to wear.
These have dropped 2 out of 3 times from Razorgore for my guild. I probably spent WAY too much on them, but I was the first to get them, and I'm a happy customer. That's what DKP is all about, right? Greed? :)
Got them today, ended up spending 650dkp which means around 2 mc runs (we divide it) like I said in that post. Gonna snap out of lazy-mode and get a +20spr on my dancing sliver instead of 9 and this will boost me for sure.
omg i want those gloves! we just can´t finish Razor :( we always wipe at 10% or so...
btw SPIRIT ROCKS! i got a spirit priest with 500 Spirit, and i am NEVER oom! that is so incredible! 30%regen while casting means for me 100mana per second + those items that give mana all 5secs -> NEVER oom!
I have these on my druid, all the preists that wanted them were released at the time razorgore died, its over 120 spirit when I innervate myself, including regen while casting, I can almost get a full mana bar from innervate now

They are the most common drop we get after Razorgore too.
Arathor- Taiterbane-70 warlock
Suramar- Thedrisar 33 hunter Retired
AC 63 vs 70
int 15 vs 12
spi 15 vs 32
sta 10 vs 12
fr 7 vs 0
regen 6 vs 0
heal 18 vs 0
When converting spirit into manaregen/5sec we get:
[13+(15/4)]/2*5 + 6 vs [13+(32/4)]/2*5
==> 47,875 (prophecy) vs 52,5 (rapid evolution)
So manaregen while not casting any spell is slightly higher with rapid evolution, but since spirit only regens 15-30% while casting:
==> 6,28 + 6 = 12,28 (prophecy with 15% regen)
vs
==> 7,875 (rapid evolution with 15% regen)
or
==> 12,56 + 6 = 18,56 (prophecy with 30% regen)
vs
==> 15,75 (rapid evolution with 30% regen)
So by sacrificing 7 fire resistance, 45 mana, +18 healing you get +20hp +7ac and worse manaregen while casting.
Conclusion : Priests stay away from this unless you still have devout.
So I put on my robe and wizard hat
