Ugh, all I can say is the Alliance better get it together. 12 runs through AV and finally we won one in a battle of attrition. But, I got my IBS. As a 52 dwarf hunter, it's a great weapon. Love the agility boost.

I dinged 51 today and went straight to AV to get the wonderful Ice Barbed Spear. It took me 3 games before we killed Drek. So I grinded on rams and harpies, did a bunch of AV quests, and ended up getting level 52 in there. After the game, I ran and got my new toy. I think im going to put a savegry chant on it.

I turned 51 a 2 days ago, last night I got the quest and went into AV. We lost the first round after about 1.5hrs of play and then won the second round. I left the BG and picked up my new toy. :) Now I gotta get my skill up and figure out what enchant I am going to put on it.

You get the quest outside the entrance to AV, which for the horde northeast of Tarren Mill in Hillsbrad and for the Alliance it is north of Southshore. Once you get the quest all you have to do is be on the winning team to get the reward.

just hit 51 today, and immediately went to get this polearm.

the first time i entered the battleground i figured i could just leave it there and wait till my faction wins (horde was completely dominating that round). However, when i came back from lunch, i was already kicked out of the battleground, saying that i left the battleground before the game was ended. and that gave me like a 20 min spell that prevents me from getting in.

the 2nd time, i just stood there and walked around to get reputation points. Honestly, if you are lvl 51, you're not gonna be much help to your team anyway, might as walk around and grind low lvl mobs. and after about 10 min, my team just suddenly won. and i walked away with this amazing polearm. (can prob use it till lvl 60!)

Note: some people might be confused that this is a lvl 60 item. THE ITEM LVL ITSELF IS 60. but you can equip it or get the quest when you are 51. Great weapon for retribution paladins. it also ranks as the #37 best weapon to use with Seal of Command - according to this website: http://www.wowwiki.com/Compendium_of_the_best_Paladin%27s_weapons

I just hit 51 today and went to AV to get this bad boy. Luckily for me, the Horde on Stormscale have it together; I had no idea what I was doing, but our team dominated and now I have IBS to show for it.

Well...drool...I really want this, but I'm a warrior who is completely fury, I'm 49 and have been dual wielding since 43...can I still use this to the full potential and not respec to arms, cuz I really don't want to, but i also really want to use this.

Won my first game (surprising considering i thought it would take like 10 Due to the hordes Crappy AV Reputation on Kilrogg) And it Crits HARD (im Arms) highest is 1.2k+ so far on a Heroic strike crit =D i love it!

It seems like many win their first AV in their third try. (I did too (W00t!)

According to Blizz, on a hunter it takes 53 agi per 1% crit. Yet using 2x Dawn's edge I have 16.11% chance to crit, and when I use IBS I have 16.10% Chance to crit... anyone able to explain this? (neither one has agi ench)

is the IBS better for a holy pally or the Cold Forged Hammer?

60 NE hunter on Zuluhed.

First 2 AV's we lost patheticly, i really wasnt to sure about what to do i just moved with the group and killed what i saw in red.

our 3rd and final AV it took 3 hours and 1 minute. before the cross relm pvp, we won.

This is a must have for Hunters. Its one of the nicer items in WOW partly because of how easy the quest is for it, second the stats on it are great. If your a hunter I really do suggest they get it and score an agility enchant on it.

just got this baby on my 51 war (i'm ms so it's bitchin) im gonna get i nice little enchant on and want some advice on that, but the crits with this baby are nice and with a good ms crit i can do about 1k dmg :)

OK so I got really lucky and some awesome people killed the guy in AV and I got this as a quest reward. Now I want to know what enchant to put on it. I'm a 51 Dwarf Warrior, Arms spec got MS and right now i'm sword proc spec... :-(

too bad alliance on mal'ganis win once every 2 weeks, and i get too tired of us trying to get past FW for 2 hours, so i /afk out and they either win with out me or lose in 2 more hours..

This is the best 2h that most casual players will ever get. Its easy to get, 1 AV win forks it over, no rolling and no 40man raids. Its also better then any 2h in BRD/lbrs/ubrs/scholo/strat/etc.

The quest for it, is the quest that wants the enemy general dead inside AV, it does not list the reward, but after you do that quest, you can choose it.
