It got nerfed along with other +def GEAR as the patchnotes said.

It doesnt give +5 def any longer, its +3.

Yesterday we got one of those on Magmadar on BloodHoof UK. The bonus was +5, according to the pattern message.

Nerfed or not, doesn't much matter, they now have Vindicator's Armor Kits, which are +8 ( http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=25651 ).
The mats are easier to get, and don't require a raid...so which would you rather have?

+5 def is very nice.. its the same as a lvl.. +5def= 1 lvl in def. so a warrior with 4 of those + all the other def gear they can have he will have like +250-300 def = a lvl 90 warrior in def. thats alot of def :D

If anyone on Laughing Skull needs these made they can send a tell to Zoen, Alliance side. We looted the pattern off of Magmadar last week. Still not so sure it beats stamina enchantments, but that's not for me to decide.

Eh elemental LW who can do every epic recipie possible. ALL I need is this and mongoose boots.
Got onyxia scale cloak one too. Just WoW reader is being buggy.Finkles Skinner and +5 skinning for onyxia.

Oh and my pants... yeah they have something on them.

Yeah......these may be a little tough to find considering you will need skinning skills up to 310...go get finkle's knife.....oh and decide that using core leather for this application is worth it.
