i was in group with only one rogue me and when the item droped @#%^ing druid need it i ask him why need and he says i am feral druid and 10 minutes ago he was rolling for an healing gear so pathetic i roll i lose so @#%^iing pathetic
Druids are a hybrid class - they heal, cast, and dps. The stats needed for those 3 different roles are different, & as such you'll find druids with 2 or more sets of gear in their bags, 1 for healing / casting & another for dps. As such you'll also find druids rolling on both types of gear on the same instance run, & why shouldn't they? Are they greedy? No, I wouldn't say they are - they need both types of gear to fulfill their role in the group. You as a rogue need the same type of gear as the dps druid, so you're unfortunately going to have to compete with them for it. And sometimes you're going to lose the rolls. And you're going to bitch when 5 min later the druid in question also gets a nice healing item. But that druid has a very real need for both types of gear, and has every right to roll on items they need, be they healing / caster items, or dps ones.
Got it with my fury warrior, there was only one rogue in the group and she was content with her Tier 1 helmet. I know, it's not plate, but eventually fury warriors have to realize they're not tanks and don't really want to be hit that much (so why pretend to still be a tank by restricting yourself to lower stats for higher armor?). I'd take the lionheart over this, but as said that's a LOT harder to get. Rend's cake, UBRS is cake, so this patch isn't all that rare. I've seen it at least 3 times.
Now, if I rolled over a rogue on Redn's -swords-, then I'd say I was out of line.
you dont need this you idiot, as a fury warrior you should get something thats plate that gives crit chance, not a leather piece of crap for you, you can get just as much crit chance on a plate thing as you can on this, as well as the stats, and it gives you 5x the armor....
The -only- plate head item with 2% crit is the Lionheart Helm, which is considerably harder to get than just killing Rend. Admittedly, it should go to a rogue first, but I wouldn't call someone a "ninja" if they wanted it on their fury warrior.
Got this today, won it over a rogue, he was mad, but he had the shadowcraft set anyway. He rolled a one. I have the ghostshroud for bear form, but for cat form, this is better with the crits, especially with my devilsaur stuff. ~32% crits with it all.
Im a 59 rogue and Ive seen this drop twice in about 7 runs.. (I won it once) the Dal'Rends are much harder to see. (Ive seen both the offhand and mainhand drop, but I only won the offhand... can you guess what class I lost the mainhand to? ..Hunter...)
After about 25 UBRS raids, this finally dropped... the other rogue in my group disconnected just before the Rend fight. Master looter asked if anyone needed, I was the only one to roll and I got it! : )
I won it last night in a greed roll. Had a rogue who already had it, and no one else wanted it. So instead of having it d/e'd, I rolled for it and won it. It'll go great against my pirate constume ;-)
Rogues can go away, now that agility scales our dmg.
I'm not sure how your "now that agility scales our dmg" arguement matters since this item has no AGI on it, but this is a sweet piece of feral head gear.
For all you rogues who feel a feral druid is a pointless joke you obviously don't have any idea how to play our class. If I'm in a group with a healer and a tank and I'm not fighting in cat form or nuking (which is only viable if spec'd for it) then I'm gimping the party.
gonna get this for my rogue... lvl 52 atm, gonna run UBRS until I get it :) then I need bonescraper and barman... both mind numbing to get... already got full stormshroud so that's good enough... and rest of my gear will be shadowcraft, then I'm sorta ready for MC :) (don't quote me and say "OMGZ GET ZE DEWWILZAURZ 'CUZ IT R0XX0RZ" because I won't get it... too expensive) (or maybe anyways... gotta make up my mind)
And feral druids? give me a break. Ghetto rogue wanna be. You put yourself at a HUGE disadvantage by focusing on the feral part of being a druid. Support caster, that's the only worthwhile way to make it in end game raids.
err, what if you have a full set of gear just for casting and another for feral work. don't comment on other people's classes if you don't understand them.
damn glad there wasn't someone as short sighted as you on the raid i won mine in.
And feral druids? give me a break. Ghetto rogue wanna be. You put yourself at a HUGE disadvantage by focusing on the feral part of being a druid. Support caster, that's the only worthwhile way to make it in end game raids.
good thing UBRS insnt end game :)
Awesome for feral druids :D
Just remember items dont weld to you when you equip them and there is an option of respec, therefore we have a nice bit of kit for healing and a nice bit of kit for doing damage in PvP or when the sitation in a raid allows it.

Strength and Stamina...not agility. Hmm... And 2% chance to crit? In my book agility goes to a rogue, strength goes to a druid.
Btw, I've been in 8 successful molten core raids so far, and I don't intend to stop. ^_^ 21 feral, 21 restore, 9 balance 4tw. Duel me sometime - I've never lost to a rogue yet. Bear form + insta heal gives ya'll fits, lol.
WTH are you talking about. The only reason a lvl 60 Rogue gives a crap about agility is because it adds to our crit percent and AP. for SC cap for example, compared to this, 20armor is pointless and 1.33% dodge isnt that usefull when you have a healer and tanks with you. And 2% to crit is much better then 20 AP (about 1.4 dps). So what does this mean. It means rogues need this. 2% crit (which takes 60 agility to get by the way) + 13 strength is rediculous. I dont consider there to be a better nonepic headpiece for a rogue (unless you play as a paper tank, but then you realy dont know what your class is for)
Druids e get 2x AP per str (26 AP) and armor gets multiplied in bearform.
+ to crit is "worth more" agility to rogues I think. 29 points per 1%? 20 agi to other classes? So yes rogues probably benefits most from + crit items.
So yes rogues do need this. Although I cant see why a druid wouldnt WANT this :)
Rend is definatly one tough cookie. Hits like a truck, he does. I've only done 4 UBRS runs and the Eye hasn't dropped once. Rather dissapointing, I really want this thing.
I lost my Eye of Rend rolls two times in a row. Once was to a rogue, I could understand that, but the other was to a pick up hunter that came midway through the raid. Needless to say I was pretty mad. He gave me the same excuse.
I'd go with mail, but I guess that 2% could help a little bit. Is crit rate universal between ranged/melee/pet attacks? The last one is a stretch, but pets don't show their crit rate, do they?
Meant to say Hunter & Rogue Item** But edit won't let me fix that.
This thing looks absolutely retarded on Night Elves, considering the eye glow.... glows through the patch. Looks so incredibly horrible I decided to keep Show Helm on.
If you see this item drop and a hunter ask to roll cause he need it, please give him a chance.
This item is really great for any hunter, those 2% crit are far better than the 100 armor you can loose
I was in a group with 3 rogues, every passed on it when it dropped, and when we asked those who need use a /random. Everybody screamed cause i rolled a 97. They say hunters dont use leather, and thats false cause even after 10 days played at level 60, I still got 3 leather items.
I let a rogue get this cause this was only to too low upgrade for me (I got Ragefury eyepatch)
If you dont believe me, that hunters really need crit, go watch marksmanship tree, and guess why I spend 10 talents points in +5% crit & +50% crit damage
No No No No and for the last time... NO! This item, because it is leather, shall go to rogues first. Yes hunters would like +2% crit just as much as rogues, but if Blackwood Helm dropped.. guess what... I can't roll!! why? Cause it's mail!! Rogues are overpopulated enough as it is, we don't need even more competition from shortsighted hunters.
And feral druids? give me a break. Ghetto rogue wanna be. You put yourself at a HUGE disadvantage by focusing on the feral part of being a druid. Support caster, that's the only worthwhile way to make it in end game raids.
waoh, one more NO and I bet your mommy would have had to put you back down for a nap. Feral Druid Gear Bear form that'll be 723 armor for me, the stam and str are nice and the +2% crit will rock. Endgame... lol UBRS is 99% PUG and all of us are arguing about who can roll. Set your loot rules at the beginning and don't whine when the dice aren't with you, there will be other runs and you're more likely to just get blacklisted for being a brat if you whine.

================ Dwarf Hunter NE Druid NE Warrior Tauren Shaman
Rogues aren't the only ones using leather... so relax, and realize that not all Hunters really need what little Def they get from wearing mail.
Not everyone runs instances every week, so if something nice drops that they can use, AND it isn't in a class-specific set THAT someone else in the group doesn't already have/want... play nice and let them roll.
If you have a problem with someone rolling on something they can use, that isn't SPECIFICALLY A SET PIECE FOR YOUR CLASS, then by all means... talk to people about it ahead of time. That way you'll have much less trouble, and no-one will get upset.
With a little bit more communication, people would have so much less reason to get pissy in this game. Chill, people.
And about the Feral Druid being a ghetto rogue - yep, but the winner of this game is the player that has more fun. If you like playing a class that you yourself find overpopulated, then I sincerely hope you enjoy that. I will likely never be a support caster - which I guess means I'll never "make it in end game raids" unless as a special favour from friends. That's ok, I'll be happy just PvP'ing and running around doing some cool stuff, like stealth-grouping with rogues!
Hes not too bad if you have a half decent group. He has a viscious whirlwind attack, does about 800 dmg i think to me with 7500 armor, cloth wearers in the vacinity might take some big ouch from it. But really hes not that bad, his mount, the dragon Gyth is far more difficult imho.
I doubt it
I got both now, but don't know what to wear
