ZAM to MediaWiki  

On this page I will try to corral my thoughts on the migration from ZAM Rift Wikibase to RiftHead MediaWikiibase.

Functions

The following functions will need to be in Rifthead MediaWikibase as they are used EVERYWHERE in ZAM Wikibase.

• #commalist - I use this A LOT. (example)
• #clistsorted - Used much less than #commalist, and not sure I have used it at all in Rift, but it may be a good idea to go ahead and make it while we are at it.
• #gameid - I suppose this can be hardwired to just return the values for Rift (gameid, url, etc) (example)
• #db - Not sure if I have ever used this in roft.zam.com, but not sure (example)
• #ciswitch - This is used EVERYWHERE, A LOT (example)
• #switch - Exists in MediaWiki, but we may wanna check it over for compatibility with the way we did it.

Templates

These templates will need to be worked on. In some cases they simply need to be edited down to do very little or make assumptions on gameid. In others they will need to be totally modified to fit in the new schema.

• Rift - remove the graphic and the box, keep most of the categoies but mod them to assume Rift (no need to say Rift everywhere)
• BWS - My signature, used on all my templates

Nearly every template in Category:Templates will need to be mod'd to remove Rift from suffixes and namespaces.
