Gerbik, Swedge and Nuggo are The Gedlo Council and are considered a single Boss. |
The second boss in Darkening Deeps, Michael Bringhurst is a human-turned werewolf who will immediately summon a pillar of bright white light as the encounter begins, this light will be directly in the middle of the room. While he is standing in this pillar of light, he will reflect all damage dealt to him back at the attacker as well as gaining a stacking debuff which increases his damage, so DPS (and Chloromancer healers) will need to wait to begin damaging until the tank runs in, and uses a melee ability/auto attack on the boss, then steps backward to drag him out of the light.
Abilities
Strategy
Your Tank should begin by picking Michael up and running him directly out of the light, Showing your back to the boss is okay in this encounter, as you want him out of the moonlight as fast as possible. The fight is in two cycle's, Cycle one is where he is out of the sunlight being damaged, this is very simple and all dps should focus on Michael Bringhurst. Cycle Two is when Michael Bringhust runs towards the middle of the pillar of light, casts his AoE Fear and begins stacking the damage increasing debuff on himself. Your tank should immediatly run towards Michael Bringhust when he is in the light, even if he is feared, as Ranged Taunts will not effect him as he needs to be Melee'd to make him resume attacking you, immediatly after he is chasing you turn your back to him and run him out of the light, as soon as he is out of the light, resume facing him and DPS should resume.
Same as normal encounter. When he is in the light It seems that if no one is in range he will AOE damage your party.
Same as expert. Occasionally during the fight a bubble will spawn either near the way you came in or the opposite side of the light patch. At least one player needs to be in this patch of light or you all pay the price! When you go in this bubble you will turn into a werewolf and gain a buff that increases your damage. After it wears out you will get a debuff that reduces your damage. You want to keep the boss out of these as everytime he got in one he started jumping around one shotting our party.
