The Krall have tried, repeatedly, to build an Abyss Gate so that their Masters, the Balaur, might have have a way to reach Elysea and Asmodae other than through the 2 stable, heavily defended Gates in Verteron and Altgard.

Through the Elyos Campaign quest series and the Asmodian Campaign quest series, players will repeatedly encounter these Krall-built gates, and destroy them.

The Abyss Gate, pictured above, is in Kraka's Den in Verteron (from the quest, Sealed Secrets (PW/AA)).

Elyos Campaign quest series:
