In response to the devastating earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan, NCsoft is donating approximately $6.3 million to the relief effort. According to Senior Executive Sung Joon Park, this amount corresponds to one month of sales.

“We’ll maintain the service with the minimal electricity and personnel," Park added. "Maintaining daily life is also important; therefore, we plan to uphold the service."

Starting today, NCsoft is giving all Lineage II players a springtime gift in the form of a Lucky Four-Leaf Clover. Using the clover will give you Afro Hair, Horn Rimmed Glasses or an Assassin's Bamboo Hat.

Any un-used Lucky Four-leaf Clovers will be removed from the game in two weeks. The hair accessories will remain in-game until they expire on their own timer.

If any of your Lineage II characters were deleted during the October 2010 server merge, you have until March 18 at 10 a.m. PDT to request a free character restoration before the data is wiped forever.

The character restoration process can take up to three weeks to complete. You can only have a total of seven characters on each server, so you may have to delete one of your characters to restore another one if you're already at the limit. More details can be found in the FAQ after the jump.

NCsoft will be at PAX East this year, and as a special treat Lineage II fans will get a chance to play an exclusive Lineage II: Goddess of Destruction tech demo on Friday, March 11. The demo showcases new some of the new skills and stylish combat the development team is working on. To play the tech demo, you must sign up for a timeslot on a first come first served basis via an RSVP system.

Each player that signs up for the tech demo will be reserving a 15-minute timeslot. Also check out the VIP hour for details about how you can get special access and potential notoriety among Lineage II fans. For full instructions on how to sign up be sure to visit the offical Lineage II site.

NCSoft has announced two new events for Lineage II players! First up is the Treasure Hunt event. From February 22 - March 8, Fantasy Isle will be the site for a massive treasure hunt. Go to Fantasy Isle, transform into a Treasure Hunter, and hunt for and open treasure chests. Bountiful rewards await you!

Second is the Chaotic Comic Contest! From February 18 - March 4 players are invited to create a Lineage II-themed comic book story. They can be silly, dark, serious, or anything that is fun to read. You decide what kind of tale to tell! You also decide if you want to make your comic book with your own original art or by using screenshots from the game.

The highly anticipated High Five update is scheduled to go live in Lineage II tomorrow, Feb. 15, following approximately six hours of maintenance. This fan-inspired patch introduces 30 new skills, 7 new raid bosses, 2 revamped hunting zones and much more.

NCsoft is celebrating Valentine's Day in Lineage II by giving all players a festive gift set. Here's what you'll find inside the box:

• 1 Agathion Seal Bracelet - Charming Cupid: A bracelet that will summon a Cupid agathion that performs an endearing social animation. Cannot be exchanged, dropped or sold.
• 15 Chocolate Cookies: Each delicious chocolate cookie fully replenishes Vitality upon use. Cannot be exchanged, dropped or sold.

Any unopened gift set boxes will be removed on Feb. 22. The Cupid agathions and Chocolate Cookies will remain in the game.

Lineage II fans rejoice! NCsoft just announced that parts 1 through 4 the High Five update will finally be available on the Public Test Server starting Feb. 2. The update will be on the PTS for a few weeks before hitting the live servers.

The first character you make on the PTS will be level 83 and have 2 billion SP and 5 billion Adena. Any other characters you create will be level 40 and have 100 million SP and Adena.

In addition, the XP/SP and Drop/Spoil rates will be quadrupled, there will be no XP loss upon death, the raid boss respawn time will be reduced by 1/4 and the penalty time after withdrawing from a clan will be 1 minute.

NCsoft is rewarding Lineage II players by hosting a Player Appreciation Week! Running from now until February 1, players can get in all all kinds of in-game perks. Players can enjoy free gatekeeper teleports, no xp loss on death, douple xp/sp and more!

Two new videos for the upcoming Lineage II: Goddess of Destruction update have been released. The first video highlights Exxion who "moves by using the energy that lives in the armor worn by Ancient Giants during battle with the gods."
