Phalanx (Status Effect)  

Analysis

Phalanx is a beneficial status effect that reduces damage from attacks by a specific amount every time they are damaged, until it wears off or is removed.

Damage reduced is affected by the Enhancing Magic skill of the character, or their MND statistic in the event they use an item to gain the effect.
Phalanx can reduce the damage of attacks to zero.
Phalanx does not prevent damage from DoT spells, like Dia, Poison II, and so forth.

How to remove the effect

• This effect can be dispelled.
• This effect can be removed manually.
