You can put your skill point into two categories for blood magic: Damage and Healing. Putting points in Damage gives you the Empowered Blood skill and improves it. Putting the points in Healing gives you the Restorative Wards skill and improves it.
Empowered Blood: While Blood Offering is active, your Blood abilities deal "x"% more damage.
Restorative Wards: When any of your Blood Barriers expire for any reason, the target of that barrier is healed for "x". Your talismans and the weapon power of a weapon of this type (if you are wielding one, other weapons are not included) will be included in the formula.
