Becoming a Chef means that you have taken on a job of culinary artist who will gain their levels through crafting your food through cooking mini-games.
As a Chef, there is also a series of quests that will guide you through your job. These quests will grant you experience; however, you will hit road blocks that prevent you from continuing the quest line until you gain more levels. Your trainers will notify you of this and offer you a reminder quest whenever this happens!
As of Novemeber 5, 2009, harvesting games are a free activity that do not give Chef experience.
The Chef series consists of three minor quest lines that converge into a linear series, once you are sent to speak with Honey in Queensfields. You can begin with any of the three trainers in Crossroads, Highroad Junction or Stillwater Crossing. It is highly recommended to do as many quests as are allowed from each minor series so that your character receives the optimal amount of stars (experience).
You obtain most of the recipes by doing the Chef quests. Recipes can be purchased as well.
