EQ2 Quest:Great Balls of Fire
Command of the Gnomish language is required to start or complete this quest.
Speak to Mad Mattie below Gnomeland Security Headquarters in Steamfont Mountains to begin this quest.
Mattie, the gnome responsible for setting up the fireworks displays for Tinkerfest, has a small problem with malfunctioning clockworks loaded with fireworks which are self-replicating themselves and threatening to overrun Steamfont. I have offered to help destroy some of them.
- Disable the erratic tinkerfest clockworks before they cause harm! - 0/10
- Use the Remote Detonator that Mattie gave you on nearby Erratic Tinkerfest Clockworks.
- The detonator has a decent sized range and the clockworks respawn quickly.
- I should let Mattie know I safely detonated some clockworks.
Once you run this quest 25 times you'll be unable to ever run it again. Completing this quest at least 5 times opens up If They Only Had a Brain.
