Hey you guys, on castersrealm there was a news post that talked about a PS2 exclusive MMORPG in development. They called it Everquest Online Adventures. You can read it up at http://eq.castersrealm.com/viewarticle.asp?Article=4219
The game supposedly takes place 500 years BEFORE EQ, so this might a |

Hi all. Personally I like the game the way it is. Other than to bad lag, I totally enjoy myself every time I play. Who cares what someoen else does with their extra items, whether they sell or give the items to another, who's busy is it anyway.
I wish all the complainers would move on and get a |

i dont know why they want to change so much, but EQ is awesome as it is right now. on various occasions, companies try to "improve" their games and, frankly, the resulting game sux. some of the new features sound cool, but some are completely weird |

Haha, i will not play EQ2. would anyone want to have different banks, so you will have to haul your items to different places to get them deposited? i for one will do no such thing. and making a plot of land, that sounds kinda stupid too. If verant has any PR ppl, they would see how ppl are rejectin |

I kind of like the idea of being able to own prperty, and build yourself a little house to live in. It makes the game a lot more realistic. Having to get your own boats, or carts to travel places. Yes it's going to end up being a lot less amazing than it is going to be cracked up to be, but that' |

The idea I like the least from what I have read so far is the localized banks. That is one of the best features of EQ and even DAoC that nobody ever thinks of as being a good thing. You are out of money? Hop to the closest bank and grab some. You forgot your resist gear in the bank accidently, and n |

Even though I like EQ like it is, DAMN! This sounds like fun. Although it will require me to AGAIN replace my video card and upgrade RAM.
I wish they'd just upgrade EQ1 and quit trying to take all my money!

I only hope they don't shut down eq1 servers in october 2003...i might as well stop playing now if so. |

Alright, first of all I must admit that those screen pics ( if they are in all reality truthfully eq2 pics) are very impressive and would be very interesting to play in. I also like the aspects they are adding to increase difficulty level I.E. Mobs can zone...banks only hold what you put in them |

I'm not spending more money on another Everquest. Upgrade the existing game (which is obviously very possible as what we've seen them do with Luclin), or cancel my account. I'm not wasting more money after all this time. The idea of Everquest 2 obviously sounds nice, but all of us know that less the |

Couldn't agree with you more, Beastias. I only just recently baught Everquest, and all the expansions. This is a very stupid move by Verant.. the pinnacle of ignorance. If they knew anything about marketing, maybe they've heard "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Or in this case, rebuild i |

Think now, EQ 2 has an insane graphics that is like living in a dream world.... but make it a new game that is just a waste...
If they put all these profits to upgrade the existing EQ to the new graphics engine and like release a huge expansion. I grantee everyone will leave all the other online |

Totally changing the game scheme and rearranging the game engine and calling it EQ2? sounds retarded, figure they'd change the current engine of the game...guess not.
Means more money to them i suppose....but not a cool idea. |

This has to be the PS2 or maybe an Xbox version. I can't believe they'd be so assinine as to announce a new expansion and begin revamps, adding new content, and the like, if they were going to shaft all of us into starting fresh with a new game. If that's the case, I'll cancel my account as I can' |

That's a sad but nevertheless good point. Verant is infamous for their promises that go, for one ridiculous reason or another, unfulfilled. Luclin for example. Visible cloaks...nope too much work, never happened. Bazaar where u are the merchant...who knows why but again never happened. The list |

like others mentioned, they probably aren't really getting rid of the "new" expansions. Probably just removing them, so they can sell more expansions for EQ2 later. and the rumor came from the explanation, where it says "it will just be the original 3 continents" |

I hope you all realize that this is just going to mean less and less support for the original EverQuest. There was a time when you could actually get things looked at and fixed or at least get petitions responded to. Those days are long gone, and the level of support and the quality of the suppor |
