I agree, they're definitely doing it to keep up competitively. They're a business and have to make back the money they spend developing these games, they're not doing it as a charity! But don't take that to mean that money is their ONLY motivation... they'd be in business, not computer games, if pro |

I got the opposite impression from the teaser about EQ II. It looks to me like there will be the same if not MORE emphasis on player interaction and cooperation. |

Ok for everyone complaining. I am reminded of what my Wife always tells me. "Is there anything you don't complain about?"
1st It is almost 2 year away, pleanty of time for people to get 60th character and to get board with EQ1. (I have been playing since beta, but left for a year and ca |

Its a clickable effect, hence the cast time, and duration. Therefore, having two would not increase mana regen at all. However, since it is a spell effect, it should stack with FT series item effects. Get a few of those, and wow. Having said that, two would still be sweet, for the stats, but If you |

Posting my opinion for what little it's worth:
EQ1 is a great game. I've been playing it for about 2 years now, still not bored with it, and still haven't been nearly everywhere. (Haven't even seen my first dragon or god yet.) I look forward to spending more time in EQ exploring and enjoying N |

I think you're approching this whole issue from, dare I say, a flawed perspective. VI doesnt want to abandon its current customer base, nor does it want a game-wide /movelog to a new online mmorpg. Fresh blood, people!! EQ is OLD. It is, to quote a previous post, a dinosaur. If there were no ne |

This whole EQ crap is gay. Don't fuck with something that needs to be fixed itself. Get your priorities straight. You tell us that you need the money... well dont waste money on this shit. You are gonna lose so much money because if you come out with EQ2 then many people with boycott EQ1. Think |

Ok, I don't really care about building up EQ2 chars from stratch (I managed that on EQ, what makes this any different?). I think it sucks tho that after spending all that money on a damn game, now they expect me to just shelve up EQ and start paying even more on EQ2. You know that sometime in the fu |

Hmm. EQ is not the only game I play as it is now. You know they are going to leave EQ1 up as long as it's making money, and I have a feeling it's going to for a long while. Currently I play Dungeon Siege (great game), Diablo II, Half-Life TFC, DoAC, AND EQ! It's not going to kill me if it turns |

It pisses me off that I have spent about $300 on expansions and upgrades for my computer just to play eq now they are just scewing me and all of you over. In conclusion this |

EQ2 is a great idea. If you don't agree, don't buy it and certainly don't play it. It'll make the game that much more enjoyable for the rest of us.
Stop whining, wipe up your tears, and figure out that games come and go. EQ1 will still be around for years to come (you don't invest in MILLIONS |

One word: SWEET!!!!!
I think this will be a good game. But, why is Verant getting rid of Kunark, Velious and Luclin? Will they make an expansion for these? What will happen to the Beastlords? They're pretty good. But, getting rid of these is a dumb move, Verant. I mean, we would lose existance of l |

I agree with my friend a few posts down, EQ1 has grown rather boring. Now, I'm only speaking from my limited experience. I've been playing off and on for 2 and a half years, and I have a 19th Cleric, 17th Monk, and a few other mid level characters. Never have I gone on a high level raid (natural |

A few things people need to realize about EQ2 and what it means for EQ1
1.) EQ 1 service WILL go down the tubes. Verant will have starwars galaxies and EQ 2 out... if that becomes true then EQ 1 will take a back seat to service/no more expansions/fewer patches/etc. as soon as it becomes more prof |

From the sound of things, your Wurmslayer and Centi Shortsword will be the products of higher skilled weaponsmiths rather than from questing and killing. I'm sure there's going to be some items both mundane and magical that will be acquired from killing and questing, but, if they're doing what I th |

I think this is bull shit. Basically they are taking Eq1 and ruining it. Taking everything that makes it the game it is and stripping it away. And what the fuck kind of idea is having the 3 original continents?!?!? What about the other 3 expansions that we all bought... What abouit the time we spent |

These are way decent hybrid gloves, for those that have plenty of STR and don't need Earthen Gauntlets or the like. I'd take these for my Pally any day: very nice AC and STA and HP/MP for flavoring. |
