| Started by having the patch prog try to download a 24 hour patch to my desktop. Fixed that, apparently the ZIP file for patcher had downloaded to my desktop. Removed that from desktop, reloaded it to EQ file, and presto, a 20 minute patch, and I was in. Got into game to discover that my inventory | ||||

| I see a lot of people getting the "3D device not found" message after installing DX8.1. Remember you have to reinstall video and sound drivers AFTER you install DX8.1. This has worked for me. | ||||
