| Download Pepper's Patches into the "skins" option and then go back and try to enter the game. It took only about 1.5 hrs to get all that info downloaded into my EQ file and another 5mins to let the kitty and chick do the file check and I was on.....however still having probs with blackout | ||||

| When I log my character there are black boxes around everything. They are around all the text in my chat window, around trees, covering my hotekeys that are player made, and around the PC and NPC names. How do I get rid of them?? plz Help. Thanks | ||||

| Check the www.everquest.com website, there is a download patch for everquest.exe there that may help. Also, make sure that you are using DirectX 8.1 and load current drivers for your sound and video. Get the current drivers and install them after installing 8.1 even if your drivers are already cur | ||||

| I have this problem on one of the past patches. It turned out that the video card driver I was using didn't fully support the version of DirectX that I was running. After installing the current version of my video driver, everything ran fine. | ||||
