The part that pi$$es ME off the most is that it has taken me about 6 hours to even find out that this was not a problem at MY END! Verant MUST have been aware of this problem pretty early on - the 1000's of emails in their "Eqtech" email box might have been a slight HEADS UP BOYS...

There is a message about this at the everquest site. Something about using the wrong version of directX. It is on the main page at the eqlive site. |

if a kind soul who finished the patch and knows what they are doing could upload the files from the eq directory changed today to a website (one with bandwidth a huge plus would be nice ;) we could all 'patch' then...
if i get mine patched i'll do it. until then.. |

I got the "everquest.exe_delta" too. I just left the computer alone. It looked like it locked up (even said "not responding" in the task manager), but after a minute or so it started up again. Overall, it took about 3-5 minutes to get to the patch screen and about 25-30 minute |

Yes, I was getting this message. Then i went into the everquest folder.. sorted the files by date from the most recent to the least. I then deleted the eqnews.txt and the eq_missing_files.log file. Then I re-ran the patcher, and it successfully downloaded the new files. Then I was able to log in. I |

You'd think at least one of these egg heads at Verant would at least of the patching woes ahead of time with all the ppl trying to get on at the same time. Would'nt they of been better off releasing the patch to the affiliated EQ web sites as an exe file for peeps to D/L rather than clog their netwo |

Ok first problem, your everquest.exe needs updated (which ya can download at sony's EQ page (just make sure ya find the one for 12/4 not the 12/3) secondly your "cannot parse xml file" is easy, you changed yer download options turning the downloads you needed off and the ones you dont need |

Go to Http://www.everquest.sony.com and visit the SoL Support link. There is a download "Everquest.zip". It replaces the Everquest.exe file and everything flows smoothly after that.
I have been back online since about 10pm EST. NO SOL yet but at least I can play. Still running 64mb RAM |
