| As of the patch on 5/27/01 alot of the loot in Velks was upgraded and some other odd changes in the zone also. As far as I can tell all the armor drops from the k0b0ldz have been boosted, the crappy spider fur collar (random loot) is now AC 10 +7 str +7 svc +7 svm I believe. The entrance spiders | ||||

| I am a dwarf Cleric i think that this item would look really cool on a dwarf but it is not useable by one are there any robes in the game that dwarfs could use????? | At the level required to take down this mob, nothing is lotto'd unless no one will use it on thier main. This is not like lower guk where casters win fbss's and tanks win smr's. Need is very much before greed in any guild good enough to take out the staute, or the vindicator. | ||||

| Why the hell can BARDS use this thing? You'd have to be a complete IDIOT to give this to a bard... bards get agrod, they DIE. no matter what uber crap they have. Give it to someone who can put it to use, AKA a REAL tank. | ||||

| Well, in theory, yes. You could park your n00b in a safe spot and wait while your main or pal tries to scare one up for you... but you'll be waiting A LONG TIME. The Skyshrine Armor pieces outnumber caster drops by a damn sight. | ||||

| Because Bards are a Plate wearing class. If you give a Bard excellent AC, they can survive for the time it takes for someone to pull the mob off of them. Sheesh. | ||||

| Next time you look at an early/mid 50s Shaman and see he's wearing JB Armor you may wonder, why does he have armor on with Inferior buffs? It's BECAUSE we need AC.. The Arms, Boots, Helm, and Gaunts are all AC 18, though the buffs inside were for the most part old news by the time you can click em. | ||||

| Stupid argument there, paladin and shadowknights will last all of maybe 1 more hit than a bard against the statue. If the statue agroes on a paladin or sk they are likely dead.
