| My suggestion on the best way to play a ranger is this. Play a woodsman. An arrow flinging fool. Get a descent bow (nothing slower than a true shot). Stack up on dex and wis items. | Definately save it. Once you get to level 8 your spells will become pretty costly and you will be happy that you have extra money for them. If you are still having money problems at level 8 then I would suggest fighting wisps to get more money. Good luck! Former EQ Addict. | ||||

| Once you figure in the time it takes to find a group, and then figure in the time you are going to have to spend telling all the idiots how to group, soloing is better. Although if you can get a cool group, then grouping is usually better EXP. than soloing and ALWAYS more fun. Former EQ Addict. | ||||

| Well I am not sure about anything in Kunark under 16, but once you get to 16 Lake of Ill Omen is a cool place. If it isn't crowded that is. If you don't mind being stuck in the 'old world' but want to try something different, then go to OOT and kill sirens. They can get you all the way to level 18. | ||||

| I recommend joining a group when it's just forming. that way you have less chance of hoping in only to have the group disband 15 min later, wasting in essence all your time to run to them and then have to find another group later. Also as groups go consider just getting into a group of 2-3 every | ||||

| Its cool I was miffed alreadylast night becus of a high lvl de camping orc 1 in commons for 2 days killing all the orcs in one blow only for faction. | i went and made both because i had the same prob u couldn't decide and well heres what i found first : slam is insanely helpful when your dual wielding or using that burly 2her second : their regen is the exact same third : iksars get an ac bonus per lvl but cant wear the better armor at earlier | ||||

| Heh. If your gunna play a Ranger you gotta get used to this. The thing that people hate about us is that we don't have as much HP as Warriors and other hybrids. We are damage DEALERS, not takers. But, dispite this everyone still disses us "'cuz ure still not as good as a Rogue or Monk doing damage! | ||||

| It depends on what server you are on, but you can find the Axe of the Iron back for 50 plat or less on most. 16 dmg 37 delay is respectable for that kind of money. If your server is old enough, you may find someone selling a Runic Carver in your price range. 18 dmg 37 delay. Both are quite heavy | ||||
