Has anyone made a Fabled items list? Like dropped off whom and what lv is needed to take them down? Man my typing sucks.

I know Fabled Fippy's Paw at lv3-4.

How does the Casino work? What do you do? Do you need to do a quest before you can use it?

I found a vendor in Shadowhaven selling funny cards but I don't understand what they're for. They were 'joker cards' and they sold 'lucky coins' and such. What are these for?

Fizzles
# Mar 18 2004 at 11:39 AM Rating: Decent
Since the newest patch, has anyone noticed more fizzles on spells than they used to. I'm a lvl 41 BST. Spells that I was at one time able to cast without thinking twice, I now get fizzles on. Any confirmation that I am not just imagining this would be helpful.

# Mar 21 2004 at 8:37 AM Rating: Decent
I have noticed an increases in fizzles also, which is especially weird since I just reached 30 and got specialization to reduce fizzles.

A lot of things are being repeated, so i'll just mention what I know to help anybody. (Be warned, there are spoilers)

Firstly; The firework shows: At various times, fireworks will shoot out from the sky in various places. I believe this is happening in the all the Wayfarer camps, but I cannot confirm this. I saw an announcement in Butcherblock at 4am EQ time telling me to head to the Wayfarer camp in BB to watch a light show in a short while. The Fireworks lasted about 20 seconds, and were purty (watch out-- the undead tend to ruin it! Geez).

Secondly, there is undead spawning in various zones throughout Norrath, every night (at 7pm Norrath time) while the 'celebrations' are going on. They definitely spawn in: Toxxulia, Qeynos Hills, Butcherblock, East Commonlands and maybe Steamfont and Everfrost. I may be missing a few places, because I haven't visted them personally. They despawn en masse at exactly 5am Norrath time. They are tough and there are lots of them. They are about level 20-60, and they have *extremely* high agro. Even if they are green to you, they WILL attack, swarming from even quite a distance away. The lieutenants are at least level 43 or so, and it can get pretty heated in the center of a lot of those zones (where they tend to be). They can cast spells, namely fear, and some debuffs. Only the higher end spawns tend to drop the loot. (It is all nodrop). I can't mention the items because I haven't been very lucky with drops at all! *sniff*

Thirdly, the fabled items are mentioned at Lucy. =) Lucy's great!

http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spelllist.html?searchtext=Fabled

The Scavenger Hunt info:
The scavenger hunt is a hunt for various items around old Norrath. The prize is a staff, (Staff of Endless Adventure); which is a clicky item that shoots fun fireworks (it doesn't really do anything else). The type of fireworks you get depends on (and only on!) the year you created the character questing for the staff! This will deterimine the firework effect, therefore theres probably 5 types of firework effects floating around.

To find someone giving out the quest, head back to your home city and a voice should nag you. Visit the person, and they will give out a 10 slot satchel, and a clue sheet. If you can't find the person, just go up the newbie lift in GFay, and talk to Sayrire Hiram (I may have spelt her name wrong). It doesn't matter who you go to to ask, they give the quest to everyone.

CLUES:

1)An Orb that aids humans on their dark journey through Gix.
WHAT: A Collector's Lightstone
WHO: on Willowisps
WHERE: West Commonlands

2)The Framework of Grotesque Guardians.
WHAT: Collector's Mistmoore Granite
WHO: Gargoyles
WHERE: Mistmoore Castle

3)The cause of the vilest stench on Odus.
WHAT: Collector's Skunk Scent Gland
WHO: a Skunk
WHERE: Toxxulia Forest

4)To bathe safely in the flames of Ro, you'd be lucky to have this natural protection.
WHAT: Collector's Fire Goblin Skin
WHO: Fire Goblin
WHERE: Solusek's Eye

5)Once amphibians begin to rot, they have no need for this blithering tool.
WHAT: Collector's Undead Froglok Tongue
WHO: A shin ghoul knight (among others)
WHERE: Lower Guk (and Najena perhaps, but unconfirmed).

6)The undead guard this portal of terror with their sharp weapon.
WHAT: Collector's Scythe
WHO: Spectres
WHERE: Feerot, Guarding the Plane of Hate

7)A liquid hoop from the masters of the kitchen
WHAT: A Collector's Water Ring
WHO: An Aqua Goblin Tidal Lord
WHERE: Dagnor's Cauldron

8)This stuffed toy will likely smell of rodent
WHAT: A collector's Kerran doll
WHO: Any kerrans on Kerra Isle (along the lake in Toxxulia)
WHERE: Kerra Isle (not to be confused with Erud's Crossing), it is along the river in Tox.

9)This diseased mongrel will really miss this well kept orb
WHAT: A Collector's Preserved Splitpaw Eye
WHO: Gnolls
WHERE: Splitpaw

10)A close look at this pointy object and you'll understand how the weeping began
WHAT: A collector's shark tooth
WHO: Sharks
WHERE: Ocean of Tears

I hope this helps everybody! =) Sorry for the length of my post!

Good Luck everybody!

Fabled Items Poof in a Month ??
# Mar 17 2004 at 7:33 PM Rating: Decent
I read in one of the posts under the stats for the fabled journeyman boots that all of the fabled items will dissapear in one month ? Does anyone know this to be true and if so can you give me a link to some official news posting stating this fact ? This would really suck LOL, I replaced my boots with fabled dwarven workboots and im wearing the fabled bloodstained mantle and already sold what I had on originally. Thanx for the help.

The fabled NPCs will not be around forever, as they are just part of the celebration. However, I doubt that fabled items which have already been looted will simply poof out of existence. That would make some players pretty upset. And on that note, anyone killed the fabled Allizewsaur yet?

RE: Fabled AC Ring

The Fabled Jboots drop in najena and are no relation to normal Jboots, the Fabled ring of the ancients or the normal ring of the ancients.

Posted on another forum (the main one I believe under a heading that includes jboots) someone has gotten the ring and tried the turning, and hasten would not take the fabled ring.

If you want these head to najena and be prepaired for a line of up to 15-20 people. the spawn is somewhat fast at 19 minutes, but the pop% is very low, estimated around 10%, so you will kill a lot of placeholders to get a pair :)

Well, people have done the turn in (well, got them somewhere at least). So at least you know they exist, as per Lucy.

EDIT: As a side note, just because they exist, doesn't mean they got them the regular way.

In Steamfont (and I'm guessing everywhere else) the skeletons seem to vary from level 20 to level 40-45. The skeleton commanders (highest level, dark blue to 46, 51 and 60) seem to be the only ones who actually drop loot.

The loot they drop is decent, mid level (+3 to multiple stats) of varying quality, but pretty decent. My guild has been logged in as their alts all day, getting decent stuff and having a blast.
RE: Events
# Mar 16 2004 at 7:53 PM Rating: Decent
Skeletal armies have been spotted in Butcherblock and Qeynos Hills. There are varying difficulties of skeletons (purely greens to 65s so I can't guess their levels). There is a commander that leads them as well, and has the best loot.

Skeletons will disappear during daytime, much like Kithicor Forest's skeleton cycle.

The item referred to in this "1. An orb that aids Humans on their dark journey through the land of Gix." is actually a Collector's Lightstone. It dropped in West Commonlands off of a wisp.

One of the quests
# Mar 16 2004 at 4:36 PM Rating: Default
One of them starts in Greater Faydark, by a NPC named Sayrine Hiram. She gives you a ten slot bag and a clue book. Here are the clues.

1. An orb that aids Humans on their dark journey through the land of Gix.

I am guessing either a Lightstone or Greater lightstone.

2. The framework of grotesque guardians.

Bone chips maybe?

3. The cause of the vile stench on Odus.

Skunk Scent gland is my guess here.

4. To battle safely in the flames of Ro, you'd be lucky to have this natural protection.

Maybe a type of drake scale.

5. Once amphibeans begin to rot, they have no need of this blithering tool.

Gotta be a Froglok Tongue.

6. The undead guard the portal of terror with this sharp weapon.

I am guessing that you need a scythe from one of the undead guards at entrance to Plane of Fear.

7. A liquid hoop from the masters of the kitchen.

This one HAS to be the water ring from Dagnor's.

8. this stuffed toy will likely smell of rodent.

Wife thinks it may be a rats foot.

9. The diseased Mongrel will really miss this well-kept orb.

My wife also thinks this is a Preserved Split Paw eye.

10. A close look at this pointy object and you'll understand how the weeping began.

This one has me stumped, but I am guessing some kind of tear.

Hope this helps, and lets solve this.

#1-lightstone
#2 Gargoyle granite
#3 Skunk scent gland
#4 Fire gobby skin
#5 Undead froggy tongue
#6 Scythe (from specs in feerot or Oasis, but Oasis was a rumor through a guild of a friend of mine, so unsure)
#7 Tidal lords water ring
#8 A Kerran doll
#9 Split paw eye
#10 Shark tooth from oot
List was taken from a friend of mine. He has his thingy and tells me it's very cool. I still am unsure what it is, but I'm on my way to get mine =).

Yea I checked on that hunt, it starts in west fp. There is a new merchant there in the normally empty tent outside of town. He also sells free beer for 0copper that is lore but yet you can have more then 1 hehe. Also has fireworks cheap, and some other neat items. Basically you tell him "Im interested" and he gives you a bag with 10 slots and your supposed to find 10 clues and combine them in that bag. He gives you a cheatlist with some very vague clues.

I am figureing 1 of 2 things here. Either the items are found on easy to kill mobs and its a junk item, or some of the items require a raid and its a great weapon. In either case I couldn't tell you any of the items. I also figure this quest also will last for this week.

Casino just seems like a way to blow your money. Wouldn't be so bad if there was a little bit of skill to it like a real casino. But I mean you buy a token, hand it in, sorry you lose. I bought 1 token, that was enough for me.
RE: f
# Mar 16 2004 at 4:15 PM Rating: Default
It might be that you dont kill anything, just find npc and talk to them to get the items, that way anyone can do the quest. Not sure about the reward, its hard to say, might be nice item but might only give one away to first person on any server to complete.

The Magician spell (and the changes to the Shaman spells) were listed on Lucy today (although at the moment Lucy is really slow). The new magician spell is level 54, and does 800 damage to your pet in order to give you about 6 minutes of 3/tick mana regen.

Game on,

Thanks for the info, still at work and I see the scavenger hunt is solved, fun but useless in play terms rewards. Still planning to do the quest for some of my characters.

No mention of Undead armies in zones yet, hoping for something like the halloween event done several years ago was a blast and some ok loot, got a few items from it as upgrades at that time.
