A+ on Square-Enix for this one.

John Walker, over at Rock Paper Shotgun, found a cute email in his inbox today, suggesting that Square-Enix send out Agent 47 to kill his friends. It's a goofy little Facebook game where you get to target your friends with assassinations for being too fat, or hairy, or having small breasts. No, really - they're the assassination terms you send to your friends, then there's a little video of 47 terminating your friends. How fun! 

The advertising agency Ralph was behind this cyber-bullying concept, so Square-Enix isn't solely to blame, but the fact that they rolled it out speaks massive lack of understanding on their behalf. It was pulled almost instantly after the Rock Paper Shotgun story went live, and they have issued apologies. Hopefuly this means we won't have to deal with anything like it again.
