You might remember her as "The WoW Candidate"

I'm sure you remember the story from last month, where Senator Candidate Colleen Lachowicz was under fire by the Maine Republican Party for playing World of Warcraft? 

Well, I'm glad you do. Because she won her seat. 

As of her Facebook page tonight, she said that she could declare victory now that she had a defining lead of 8561 to 7545 over her opponent, Republican incumbent Thomas H. Martin Jr., with only 300 votes left to count. She is now Senator-Elect of District 25 of Maine. And, "for my gamer friends", she posted this in her facebook page commemorating her victory. 

It's definitely for the best - Mr. Martin probably played Alliance anyway.
