Job Adjustments

A series of new job adjustments are slated for release for several popular jobs for Final Fantasy XI. In addition to ertain merited abilities for Warrior, Thief, Ranger, Bard, Paladin, and Dark Knight seeing improvements as far as overall potency, recast times, and additional effects,  the Analyzer attachment for Puppetmaster will also be seeing revisions, including an increase to maximum damage reduction and the effect that Earth Maneuvers have. Lastly, the full details for the planned changes for the "Breaker" and "Circle" effects of Paladin, Dark Knight, Samurai, and Dragoon have been released!

[dev1080] Job Adjustments: Thief

  • Assassin’s Charge
    • Recast time will be reduced from fifteen minutes to five.
    • Additional merit points will no longer reduce recast time, but instead increase accuracy by 25% per point.
  • Feint
    • Recast time will be reduced from ten minutes to two.
    • Additional merit points will no longer reduce recast time, but instead raise the chance of Treasure Hunter leveling up by 25% per point.

  • Nightingale
    • Recast time will be reduced from twenty minutes to ten.
    • Additional merit points will no longer reduce recast time, but instead reduce song casting time by an additional 5% per point.
  • Troubadour
    • Recast time will be reduced from twenty minutes to ten.
    • Additional merit points will no longer reduce recast time, but instead increase song accuracy by 25% per point.

  • Flashy Shot
    • Recast time will be reduced from twenty minutes to ten.
    • Additional merit points will no longer reduce recast time, but instead reduce enmity incurred by 20% per point.

Analyzer

  • Maximum damage reduction for enemy special attacks will be increased from 10% to 40%.
  • Additional Earth Maneuvers will now increase the number of special attacks mitigated rather than the percentage of damage reduction.

  • Warrior’s Charge
    • Recast time will be reduced from fifteen minutes to five.

  • Fealty
    • Recast time will be reduced from twenty minutes to ten.
    • Additional merit points will no longer reduce recast time, but instead extend duration by an additional five seconds per point.
  • Chivalry
    • Recast time will be reduced from twenty minutes to ten.
    • Additional merit points will no longer reduce recast time, but instead increase MP recovery by an additional 5% per point.

  • Dark Seal
    • Recast time will be reduced from fifteen minutes to five.
    • Additional merit points will no longer reduce recast time, but instead reduce casting time for dark magic spells by an additional 10% per point.
  • Diabolic Eye
    • Recast time will be reduced from fifteen minutes to ten.
    • Additional merit points will no longer reduce recast time, but instead reduce maximum HP by an additional 20% per point.

  • Warding Circle
    • Recast time reduced from ten minutes to five.
    • Duration increased from one minute to three.
    • Reduction granted by Warding Circle Recast merit enhancement adjusted from twenty seconds per point to ten.
  • Hamanoha
    • Recast time reduced from ten minutes to five.

[dev1070] Job Adjustments: Dragoon

  • New Wyvern Breath Abilities
    • Healing Breath IV (Lv. 80)
    • Remove Breath will now cure additional status ailments at the following levels:
      • Curse and doom (Lv. 60)
      • Disease and plague (Lv. 80)
        *In the event that a character is afflicted with multiple status ailments, Remove Breath will cure only one.
        The effect cured will be determined by learnable level, with higher-level cure effects being prioritized over lower-level ones.
        This ability is still under development, and adjustments to priority may be implemented in a future update.
  • Ability adjustments
    • Spirit Surge
      • The "Haste" effect granted by Spirit Surge will be stackable with similar effects granted by spells and equipment.
    • Jump
      • Recast time shortened from 90 to 60 seconds.
    • High Jump
      • Recast time shortened from 180 to 120 seconds.
      • Expanded range.
      • Will also remove enmity from the nearest party member behind the dragoon.
    • Super Jump
      • Expanded range.
      • Will also remove enmity from the nearest party member behind the dragoon.
    • Spirit Jump
      • Recast time shortened from 90 to 60 seconds.
    • Soul Jump
      • Recast time shortened from 180 to 120 seconds.
    • Spirit Link
      • Recast time shortened from 180 to 90 seconds.
    • Ancient Circle
      • Recast time reduced from ten minutes to five.
      • Duration increased from one minute to three.
    • Dragon Breaker
      • Recast time reduced from ten minutes to five.

    To maintain balance in light of the above recast time reductions, dragoon group one merit point enhancements will be adjusted as follows:
    • Jump Recast: Shortens recast time by 2 seconds (previously 3 seconds).
    • High Jump Recast: Shortens recast time by 4 seconds (previously 6 seconds).
    • Spirit Link Recast : Shortens recast time by 3 seconds (previously 6 seconds).
    • Ancient Circle Recast : Shortens recast time by 10 seconds (previously 20 seconds).
  • Attribute Ranking Adjustments :
    • HP will be raised from C to B.
    • Evasion skill will be raised from C- to B.
    • Parrying skill will be raised from C to B-.

  • Shield Bash
    • Shield Bash recast time will be reduced from five minutes to three.
    • To preserve balance in light of this change, the Shield Bash Recast merit point enhancement will be adjusted to reduce recast time by six seconds per level, instead of the previous ten.
  • Holy Circle
    • Recast time reduced from ten minutes to five.
    • Duration increased from one minute to three.
    • Reduction granted by Holy Circle Recast merit enhancement adjusted from twenty seconds per point to ten.
  • Sepulcher
    • Recast time reduced from ten minutes to five.

  • Weapon Bash
    • Weapon Bash recast time will be reduced from five minutes to three.
    • To preserve balance in light of this change, the Weapon Bash Recast merit point enhancement will be adjusted to reduce recast time by six seconds per level, instead of the previous ten.
  • Arcane Circle
    • Recast time reduced from ten minutes to five.
    • Duration increased from one minute to three.
    • Reduction granted by Arcane Circle Recast merit enhancement adjusted from twenty seconds per point to ten.
  • Arcane Crest
    • Recast time reduced from ten minutes to five.
