Patch 1.2 Improves Plaque of Achievement Gear
Plaque of Achievement gear gets upgraded to help LFG system.
With patch 1.2 Rift players are seeing a myriad of changes, many of which focus on end game and max level players. Trion is making many changes to class balance for both PvE and PvP, adding a new raid instance and 10 man raiding, while also revamping their token system.
For those of you who are not yet level 50, here's how the max-level progression works: a new level 50 character will spend a bit of time gearing up in the two max level dungeons, Abyssal Precipice and Charmer's Caldera. After acquiring enough gear to survive the harder dungeons they progress to Tier 1 expert dungeons. Expert dungeons are rehashes of earlier dungeons with max level monsters, increased loot, and more bosses. Here adventures will spend long hours collecting enough gear and Plaques of Achievement in order to move on to Tier 2 Expert dungeons.
In Patch 1.2 many of these instances are being made easier for groups to handle in anticipation of the LFG tool. Trion is also improving the gear purchased with Plaques to help prepare adventures for the more difficult Tier 2 experts. These upgrades range from almost unnoticeable to massive.
On the left is the current version of the item; on the right side is the version on Test Shard. These changes are hardly anything to get excited over. However in the examples below you can see how some items have been greatly improved by adding a fifth stat to them.
With these changes come increased plaque costs as well. Check out our Plaque of Achievement Guide to find out how to earn plaques and how much each piece costs.
