Players will earn a rare Feat of Strength for dying when Deathwing attacks zones in the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.

Deathwing is coming, and he wants to kill all of you. According to a new blue post, he's actually going to get the chance in an upcoming temporary world event. Once Deathwing tears out of Deepholm and shatters Azeroth, he will randomly attack zones and burn every living creature in the area. That includes you.

You won't be able to avoid your death, but you will get a rare Feat of Strength as a reward. "Virtually everyone who earns the Feat of Strength will get it by accident -- it's a wrong place at the wrong time sort of thing," Zarhym said. The event will be specific to the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, so don't be surprised if you suddenly drop dead while exploring the revamped zones.
